Mainframe and Mid-range Servers

**Req ID**: We are currently seeking aThe High-end Mainframe Server and Mid-range iSeries server Technical Architect creates, owns,influences, oversees, and enhances the managed services solutions for NTT DATA Services small and medium scale/enterprise client pursuits having various elements of Mainframe and Mid-range Servers (Compute, Storage, Backup, Virtualization, and Cloud) and associated Operating systems, Application software, processes and tools.The Mainframe and mid-range server Technical Architect will be part of the Global Solution Design Center. The Mainframe and mid-range server Technical Architect is responsible and accountable for the managed services solution design enabling customer business outcomes. The Technical Architect should enable the NTT Data Business by making each solution design sellable, deliverable and profitable. The solution design deliverables should therefore be cost competitive, aggressive and technically superior solutions. The solution design should adhere to the compliance directives provided by both customer and NTT Data.**Job Responsibilities Include**:- Support NTT DATA Services managed services business development efforts by collaborating and providing the required inputs into new opportunities to enable the solution design, creation and enhancement of NTT DATA Services Mainframe and mid-range server offerings and capabilities- Work with solution design team members, partners (with whom NTT DATA has signed MSA) and sales to deliver accurate costing and pricing techniques, based on the NTT Data Services Costing guidelines and templates- Ensure that new client solutions are architected and designed in an optimum way to achieve the expected levels of functionality, availability, performance, scalability, security quality and compliance- As part of the managed services solution design, understand the RFPs (Request for Proposals) and be able to recognize both scope and size of the customer request along with the precise ask in the RFP. The solution design needs to cover the Mainframe, Mid-range servers, Batch Job scheduling, Production control (using various third-party tools). Prepare FTE sizing, cost estimates and technical responses to RFPs and deliver required solution slides, proposal content and any other specific ask as in the RFP. Work as a team with architects from other disciplines to arrive at a cohesive proposed solution- Present solutions to NTT DATA management and be able to explain and defend the solution- Promote existing and new capabilities and Mainframe and mid-range offerings to internal groups, partners, and clients- Build opportunity level cost models and support benchmarking efforts against market pricing, positioning strategy and partner strategy- Facilitate and coordinate collaborative dialog with sales, pre-sales, partner teams and delivery teams, to provide consolidated input for relevant corporate stakeholders as they relate to new capabilities and repeatable solutions- Explore and enable automated sales and solution design methodologies for new and existing capabilities and service offerings**Basic Qualifications**:- Minimum of 15 years of demonstrated gradual experience in IT Outsourcing and Managed Services delivery, solution design / pre-sales, practice, product management or a corporate leadership role in managed services solution design or consulting- Technical background and experience in IBM software products including the z/OS operating system, CICS Transaction Server for z/OS, WebSphere MQ, DB2, IMS, IBM DFSMS family of products, IBM Resource Access Control Facility (RACF)- Technical background in IBM iSeries operating system (OS400), LPP products, BMRS, and third part iSeries software products such as the Robot series of products. Understanding of iSeries Power hardware including processors, memory, storage, network, Hardware Management Consoles, and capacity. Experience in data center migrations of mainframe or iSeries platforms- Bachelor's degree from a reputed and recognized University**Preferred Skills**:- In-depth experience in creating and managing the creation of infrastructure outsourcing solutions and cost models; This includes analyzing the client business requirements, RFP asks, analyzing client volumes and tickets, sizing, solution design, costing and rolling out required solution documents / artifacts as needed for each of the pursuits- Technical thought leadership, organizational agility and ability to communicate affectively within a global team- Understanding of most independent software vendors (ISVs) mainframe software products. Knowledge needs to include knowing the vendor, purpose, and use for the ISV software products- Working knowledge of IBM processors, OSA cards, zIPP engines, Ficon, and memory- Experience with mainframe storage, virtual and physical tape, mainframe SAN replication including Global Mirror and SRDF- Exhibited maturity in conducting business and develop
