**Position Summary**:1- Cost estimator capable of Quoting injection Molds, stamping Dies & Die Casting Dies. 2- Person will receive 3D part prints for different Injection molded component or stamping Dies, will evaluate the estimated annual usage, will review the geometrical Tolerances, to define Cavitation, tonnage & Cycle time, to come up with the optimum dies, come up with the correct die design. 3- Person will coordinate with the Design team to come up with Bill of Materials for the Mold or Die as well as coordinate with Tool shop and Process flow of the Mold or Die. 4- With the above information the Cost estimator should have capable of determine the Raw material cost, labor cost and Overhead cost and define the Mold/Die cost.**Specific Responsibilities**:Able to create a log of all the RFQs of the Customers with due dates. Review each RFQs and identify all technical questions (Regarding Resin requirement, checking fixture, gauge requirement, Hot runners, sampling plan etc.). Coordinate with designers to come up with BOM, calculate the Process flow, Machine hour requirement for process, calculate the raw material cost. Determine mold flow or any other specific process is necessary. Determine the Tool cost. Determine the Outsourcing cost (Checking fixture, cooling Fixture, Jigs and gauges). Determine the sampling cost (machine hrs., raw material cost for sampling.) Determine the inspection cost (FAI, CPK) Determine the logistic cost (Ocean Freight/Air Freight of tools and samples) Determine the lead time of Mold/Die build and Qualification. Compile all the cost with lead time and complete the quote package. Submit the quote to the sales team before the due date. Recommend ways to reduce costs without sacrificing quality.**Requirements**:Extensive Knowledge in Tool/Mold design and manufacturing process.Know-how of Tool steel and purchase of standard components cost for Mold/DiesKnow-how to calculate Machine time and rates.Extensive knowledge in estimation and costingGeometric Dimensioning and Tolerance, ISO & ASME standardsCost related to Heat treatment, Texturing, Hot runners.Calculating qualification time/cost, sampling time/cost.Calculate crate and logistic time/cost.Suppliers for outsourcing work.Hands-on experience in UG NX, Auto CAD, and good knowledge of Cam Programming Software & MS Office.Qualifications:Degree / Diploma in Mech. Engg. / PD-PMD from CIPET / NTTF / GTTC with 5+ years of experience in automotive industry.**Job Skills**:Interpersonal Skills:Should be able to speak with employees, other department managers, and senior managementLeadership Skills: Should Lead & motivate the workforce & imparting continuous on job training to the subordinates.Problem solving skill: Must be able to provide cost effective and durable solution to complex mold related problems.Analytical skills: Must determine how to minimize costs without sacrificing quality.Detail oriented: Must pay attention to small details because such details may have a large impact on a product’s overall cost.Time-management skills: Must plan the work in advance and work efficiently and accurately.
