**Position Title**:VTC Production Line Lead**Reports To**:Plant Manager**Department**:Operations**Summary of Position **(Paragraph form)**:**Primary Responsibilities **(Bulleted form)**:- Supervise assemblers in the execution of: Established work instructions, cleaning and hygiene procedures, and equipment maintenance.- Provide training and support to ensure all personnel are properly trained to perform their job, ensuring the training is well documented.- Oversee and assist with all personnel safety aspects of the assembly process to ensure safe work practices are adhered to.- Oversee the documentation of all production processes to ensure completion and accuracy.- Resolve equipment faults above production operators fault resolution capabilities, and escalate difficult fault resolution to Eng. Tech as needed.- Work with other departments including Regulatory, Sales & Marketing, Inventory & Logistics, Quality, R&D, and Customer/Technical Service to: Meet company goals and objectives relating to assembly, update and create new procedures, and ensure the assembly meets ISO 13485 and FDA compliance.- Generate purchase order requests for consumables and supplies required in the assembly area.- Ensure enough raw material is at each workstation to complete the day’s assembly.- Own the performance review process by maintaining team goals and objectives and meeting with team members 1 on 1 on a regular basis.- Create and drive metrics for quality and build plan, First Pass Yield, line capacity, tact times, etc.- Provide metric analysis and propose continuous improvement projects based on data.- Facilitate tours of the manufacturing area as needed.- Oversee and execute all transactions in Vapotherm ERP system as it relates to the VTC production process.- Assist in the investigation of anomalies in the Vapotherm ERP system to support month and quarter end close of the financials.- Manage set-up, start-up of the line and support engineering maintenance of the production machines.- Ability to lift objects up to 50lbs**Position Requirements - Education, Knowledge, Years of Experience, etc. **(Bulleted form)**:- The VTC Production Lead should have a high school diploma or equivalent.- The VTC Production Lead should have prior supervisory experience.- Computer skills using Microsoft Office products are required.- Excellent mechanical skills are required and the ability to troubleshoot a variety of systems.- An ability to use measuring devices, work with small components, and record detailed information is required.- Previous supervisory experience in an ISO environment is ideal with FDA related experience a plus.- Experience developing work instructions, procedures, and implementation of those instructions is ideal.- Must have experience with and demonstrable competencies in Lean Manufacturing (e.g. Toyota Production System). Including leading Kaizens/Continuous Improvement techniques, Standard Work, Single Piece Flow, Kan Ban, 5S, SMED, Value Stream Mapping, and Poka Yoke
