The product initiatives aim at significantly improving engineering productivity, agility and time-to-delivery by streamlining basic engineering deliverables and hand off to detailed engineering for EPCs and Owner Operators. The role will include accelerating customer value and business growth. The Product Manager will also contribute to the overall technical and product adoption strategy for the Concurrent Engineering solution of the Aspen Performance Engineering Suite.AspenTech’s Performance Engineering suite provides market leading products to optimize the performance of process industry assets across the CAPEX and OPEX cycles and is integrated with AspenTech’s Manufacturing & Supply Chain and Asset Performance Management Suites. AspenTech is an industry leader in asset modeling and optimization for the last 35 years creating over $50bn of value for customers in the process industries.Your Impact- Product and technology direction- Responsible for product market analysis, business plan, growth projections and financial performance of the product family- Close working relationship with research and development team to define product requirements and end user scenarios.- Close working relationship with marketing and sales on a worldwide basis for Go to market execution- Close working relationship with Customer Support & Training and Customer Success to ensure continued product usage growth and adoption- Collaborating with customers and translating feedback from the customers into software requirements and product strategy to achieve rapid adoption of the software.- Engage with early adopters through innovation programs for New Product Development and deliver new customer use cases- Evangelize products within and outside the organization- A passion for driving adoption and usage of software products and for enhancing work practices.What You'll Need- Background in using software tools for engineering including process simulation, equipment design, sizing, costing and engineering deliverables to deliver value in the process industries.- Good understanding of the end user needs; business drivers and industry practices in process design simulation and optimization.- Prior work experience in the use of process simulation and modeling in process engineering and design software will be an advantage- Excellent communication skills to articulate the product message- Strong leadership skills with track record in leading successful project, product or business initiatives- Over 10 years’ experience process engineering, design and modeling solutions- Process industry experience in engineering or operations- Prior experience in Product Management is preferred- Minimum master’s degree in chemical engineering with 1 year of work experience or bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering with 3 years of work experience.
