Responsibilities:
- Performing failure mode analysis, qualifying/validating manufacturing and test processes, and recommending process quality improvements.
- Working with problem-solving methodologies (Sheets 8D).
- Elaboration of quality metrics for management review.
- Development of quality documents, including PPAP, PCPs, FMEAs, Flow Charts, CARS, and 8D.
- Providing technical support to quality, purchasing, incoming inspection, and manufacturing electronic and harness processes.
- Working with suppliers for continuous improvement of materials, products, or quality, and confidence in the ability of the components used in Benchmark products.
- Following corrective actions with suppliers.
- Internal Auditor duties.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronic or Industrial Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in electronics, particularly in PCBA assembly processes; experience with Cable/Harness is a plus.
- Experience in a high mix - low volume environment is preferable.
- Able to understand and communicate in English at greater than 80% proficiency.
- Strong written skills to accurately describe technical processes and requirements in a logical and grammatically correct manner.
- Experience in Avionics/Aerospace flight-critical manufacturing assemblies and new product introduction activities.
- Knowledge of IPC Standards.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, Nadcap, and AS9100 QMS is a plus.
