Sr. Firmware Engineer ResumenWe are CalAmp, a connected intelligence company that gives people the ability to track, monitor and recover their vital assets with real-time visibility and insights. Currently, we are seeking a Sr. Firmware Engineer with at least 10 years of experience, based in Mexico City, Mexico. This is an exciting opportunity for those who align with our core values (Inclusion, Innovation, Execution, Customer Success) and for those who desire to build, sell, and / or support connected solutions and services. Responsibilities Develop device drivers and application firmware for products using 32 bit microcontrollers. Maintain and support existing embedded software. Interfaces with other members of the development team, validation test and field application engineers. Development and maintenance of firmware design documentation. Develop Unit and Acceptance Tests, and document test procedures. Must Haves BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. 10+ years of embedded firmware development experience. Knowledge about microcontrollers and internals is required and able to comprehend hardware specs and schematics. Experience with Super loop and RTOS architectures. Proficiency in C / C++ / Python. Familiarity with using digital scopes and logic analyzers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have English language skills. Experience in encryption and cybersecurity methods. Deep understanding of the CAN protocol, including J Strong Pluses MS in Computer Science preferred. Experience with eLinux architecture. Experience with Cellular, BLE, and WiFi protocols. Experience with Test Automation using scripting languages. Experience with POSIX programming. Familiarity with communication protocols such as UDP and TCP, TLS, and HTTP.
