**Litigation Paralegal**The primary purpose of the position is to assist with the litigation stage of personal injury cases. Specifically, the Paralegal is directly supporting the attorney through the litigation process by drafting all pertinent documents that support the case files, including demands, complaints, discovery, interrogatories, mediations, etc. This role is a partnership with the attorney, and at The Scott Pryor Law Group, the structure of the legal team includes supporting legal assistants and research/writing support. The Paralegal files all documents with the court(s).**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS****Education**Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferredAdministrative management careers/ Lawyer, Paralegal studies, or related fields preferredExcellent verbal communication skills (English/Spanish)Excellent written skills (English/Spanish)**Training or Expertise**Excellent verbal communication skills (English/Spanish)Excellent written skills (English/Spanish)+1 year of Experience working remotely for USA-based companies.Paralegal training or certification required**Experience**Must have at least 2-3 years of personal injury experienceLitigation experience required**JOB FUNCTIONS**- Drafting letters and correspondence- FOIA Requests- Obtaining and organizing documentation required at litigation stage of case- Coordinating with Investigator to obtain photos of scene and witnesses statements whenneeded- Obtaining prior injury/medical and claims/lawsuits history- Reviewing all medical records- Preparing medical chronologies- Drafting and sending out a demand package, as well as monitoring receipt andprocessing- Preparing closing statements- Performing other essential functions necessary for the success of the department- Drafting pleadings- Scheduling hearings, depositions, mediations, inspections and any other meetings- Obtaining all relevant billing statements and subrogation logs- Obtaining and reviewing medical records and prepare medical summaries- Assisting in trial preparation- Reviewing deposition transcripts and prepare deposition summaries- Preparing and reviewing discovery, including drafting discovery and answeringinterrogatories and requests for production of documents**REQUIRED SKILLS**Integrity, loyalty, and a client-focused mentalityAs a Paralegal, you are an adept communicator, who has the ability to work effectively in collaboration with others to get the job doneHighly organized and able to research, gather, organize and synthesize information to make effective decisions.Enjoy working as part of a team to ensure our clients’ needs are successfully met and their case is completed as successfully as possibleStrong work ethic and a passion for helping people.Excellent support person, who has a sense of urgency.Willing to learn and take on new challenges with a flexible, can-do attitude (Looking for someone who ambitions a career with our company- long term)**WAGE COMPENSATION****Salary**: $1,300 (USD) MonthlySchedule: Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM ESTInternet and computer must be covered by the employee**Essential duties all listed on this document but, no limited****Salary**: $23,000.00 - $25,000.00 per month**Experience**:- Personal Injury: 3 years (required)- Litigation: 3 years (required)**Language**:- English (required)
