This role will be responsible for procurement of product out of Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta that can be processed at GFI’s facilities.**Responsibilities**- Growing and maintaining GFI’s network of farmers in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta to purchase pulses and specialty crops for GFI and on behalf of GFI’s toll processing customers- Actively and continuously scouting new relationships with farmers/growers. This includes cold-calling and on-site visits- Negotiating with farmers and other suppliers to procure commodities in all 3 provinces and surrounding regions- Identifying growth opportunities for GFI- Regularly travelling to visit farmers and facilities- Frequent daily calls with local farmers to communicate bids- Continuously providing market information and feedback to the rest of the Trade/Procurement team- Working with GFI’s Logistics team to efficiently deliver inbound and outbound products- Supporting other GFI traders to deliver performance targets- Other responsibilities as required or assigned**Qualifications**- 3+ years of sales or procurement experience in agricultural commodities or related services- Energetic and performance-driven- Demonstrated knowledge of specialty crops markets- Ability to work within a team environment to deliver results- Proven ability to develop effective working relationships (both internal and external)- Proven ability to take initiative and problem-solve- Able to work independently, within company policies and guidelines- Proficiency in Microsoft Office- Strong attention to detail- Good understanding of CGC grading guide for pulses- SGS Training / Quality certifications an asset- Knowledge of weight and volume conversions- Reliable, ethical and professional- Ability to travel frequently within Saskatchewan and to surrounding provinces as needed- Phone - - Mail - 43 Colborne St, Suite 400, Toronto, ON M5E 1E3Ability to commute/relocate:- Hermosillo, Son.: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)Application Question(s):- What are your salary expectations?**Language**:- English (required)Work Location: One location
