Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability SupportLibramiento Noreste Km 33.5, General Escobedo, NL 66052NL100 Distribution CenterPart-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 8:00am - 2:00pm10 - 28 hours/weekOVERVIEW:Working as Part-time Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability Support, you will be responsible researching and administering governmental regulations, performing general paperwork such as data entry and filing, assisting with administrative reporting, conducting trainings and monitoring safety related functions within the region. This is an entry-level position based out of our distribution center located at Libramiento Noreste Km 33.5, General Escobedo, NL 66052.RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Ensuring compliance with all Federal, State, and local environmental health and safety regulations- Performing accident investigations and job safety analysis- Conducting employee orientation and annual safety trainings- Assisting District Managers with the tools to help all branch personnel complete required safety trainings- Assisting the Distribution Center and store employees with hazardous material compliance- Completing administrative reporting and related clerical duties- Coordinating compliance with safety standards as well as assisting with policies and procedures- Assisting with developing and implementing emergency action plans and other safety procedures and policies within the facilityREQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:- 18 years of age or older, due to the nature of work- Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed- Prior administrative/customer service experience OR industry experience and product knowledge- Proficient written and oral communication skills- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite- Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented- Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities- Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment- Willingness to travel while working a flexible schedule- Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork- Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs- Ability to speak fluent Spanish and EnglishPREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:- Prior work experience or education in OSHA, safety, operations, sustainability, communications, business or a related field- Possess a valid United States VisaABOUT US:Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
