Coordinates with Customer and Celestica to understand and set priorities.a. Coordinate engineering and operational development schedules between Customer’sinternal departments and Celestica’s departments (e.g./ coordinating Customer Engand Ops schedules between releases)b. Work alongside Customer’s design and operations teams as primary interface toCelestica's operations and flawless launch teamsc. Attend key internal meetings with Customer to ensure alignment of operationalimpacts due to engineering design decisions and changes2. Change Control Managementa. Create and execute design project work plans and schedules to be reviewed asappropriate to meet changing needs and requirementsb. Coordinate Eng and operational development schedules between Customer internaldepartments and Celestica departments (e.g./ coordinating Customer Eng and Opsschedules between releases)3. Defines optimal path to production, balancing design maturity with operational requirementsa. Establish product industrialization readiness with both Customer and Celesticab. Ensure lessons learned from builds are communicated to Customer’s ops andengineering teams in a timely manner to improve manufacturabilityc. Coordination of Prototype Development between both companies4. Understands Customer’s detailed product & service roadmap and product developmentprocesses in order to align Celestica resources in accordance with Customer’s needsa. Defines work packages to meet key milestones from Customer’s roadmaps Work withCustomer to agree to in production cost reduction programs5. Develops and monitors plans to meet commitments and schedules.6. Manages and balances Customer expectations with internal business goals.7. Supports Celestica’s Key Account Managers in negotiations with the Customer on programcommitments and acquiring new business.8. Assembles key resources to work on Customer requirements, programs, and projects.9. Leads detailed cost reduction workshops for the highest revenue products for current andforecast.10. Implements PLM practices and tools to execute awarded development and service projects.Knowledge/Skills/CompetenciesMust have strong project management skills, ideally some product design experienceand ops capabilityMust be read, write and speak EnglishIn-Depth knowledge of standard program management processes and procedures.Broad knowledge of an electronic manufacturing environment, materials and processes.Broad knowledge and understanding of Engineering design, test, quality, and productionin a manufacturing environment.Knowledge of materials, supply chain, and components used in the manufacturing ofelectro-mechanical systems, printed circuit boards and subassemblies.Ability to lead cross functional teams to a successful end while working under tight timedeadlines.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety ofinternal and external customers.Excellent presentation, database management and computer skills.Excellent customer contact, negotiation and problem resolution skills.Fluency in financial costing is desired.Ability to evaluate product performance metrics as well as diagnose and resolve issuesIncident or change management/problem resolution skills as daily occurrence tracking.Education and ExperienceMinimum 8 years relevant experienceOf those 8 years, minimum 3 years of experience building & leading diverse teams fromvarious internal and external organizationsBachelor’s degree in related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination ofeducation and experienceAdvanced studies in Program Management (such as PMI / PgMP certification) orequivalence through experience.Celestica is an equal opportunity employer.
