**Maintenance Technician Responsibilities**:Clean and lubricate shafts, bearing, gears, and other parts of machineryTroubleshoot/repair machinery such as slitters, collectors, high-speed welders, conveyors, and palletizersInstall and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipmentRepair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and other related equipmentBuilding maintenance including minor plumbing, welding, and general upkeepRepair and assess electrical issues as they ariseAble to familiarize yourself with our CMMS system and log labor/parts according to established expectationsMust be willing to work overtime, including weekends and off-shifts as requiredMust participate in on-call program and may be required to work additional hours on off shift due to on-call programUnderstands quality, PPE requirements, safety, and the importance of complying with safety policies and procedures.**Maintenance Technician requirements**:High School Diploma or equivalent - Technical degree in maintenance-related field preferred2 years minimum experience as a maintenance mechanic in a metal manufacturing environment with the ability to troubleshoot preferred but not requiredKnowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice ISO9001 standards for metals manufacturingPLC experience preferredExperience with and ability to use all types of welding, cutting, machine, and hand tools preferredExperience in high-speed packaging, welding, and mechanical power transmission preferred**Work Environment**:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is required to stand for long periods of time, use arms and hands to feel or reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl on occasion, talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee may work with materials that could irritate eyes, skin and breathing. Appropriate personal protective equipment is required. The employee will be working near and/or with high-speed automated equipment. This may cause risk of injury if safety procedures are not followed.
