e are seeking a Microsoft 365 Migration Analyst to plan, execute, and support migrations from on‑premises or legacy environments to Microsoft 365 . This includes mailbox migrations, SharePoint/OneDrive data migration, Teams adoption, and ensuring smooth user transition with minimal disruption. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with M365 tools, migration utilities, and strong troubleshooting skills. Key Responsibilities 1. Migration Planning & Assessment Conduct discovery and assessment of existing environments (Exchange, SharePoint, file servers, messaging tools). Analyze mailbox size, distribution groups, retention policies, and compliance requirements. Prepare migration strategy, timelines, and risk assessments. 2. Microsoft 365 Migration Execution Perform migrations using tools like: Exchange Hybrid migration (Cutover, Staged, Hybrid) SharePoint Migration Tool (SPMT) M365 Admin Center tools Third‑party tools: Quest Migration Manager , BitTitan , SkyKick , etc. Migrate data to Exchange Online, OneDrive for Business, SharePoint Online, and Teams . Validate migrated data and resolve discrepancies. 3. Technical Support & Troubleshooting Troubleshoot migration issues related to authentication, DNS, connectivity, throttling, mail flow, and directory sync. Work with Azure AD Connect, Conditional Access, MFA, and identity management.Handle post‑migration support, including user onboarding and issue resolution. 4. Documentation & Reporting Maintain migration runbooks, logs, and technical documentation. Generate migration reports, success rates, error logs, and recommendations. Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards. 5. Collaboration & User Enablement Work with cross‑functional teams (IT, security, business stakeholders). Provide user training, communication plans, and support for adoption. Assist in setting up policies, retention labels, and compliance configurations. Required Skills Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 , including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive. Experience with Azure AD, Identity, authentication, SSO, MFA . Hands‑on experience with mailbox and data migration tools . Knowledge of DNS, networking, SMTP mail flow, PowerShell . Ability to analyze large datasets and handle migration mapping. Strong troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis skills. Preferred Skills Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation. Familiarity with Intune , Endpoint Manager , DLP, compliance features. Experience with Microsoft Defender for Office 365 . Knowledge of coexistence & hybrid deployments. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science (preferred). 2–6 years of experience with Microsoft 365 or messaging migrations.
