**Company**: Amethyst Bookkeeping**Salary**: $900 - $1,100 USD (Monthly)**About Us**:Amethyst is a growing accounting services firm dedicated to providing high-quality financial support to its clients. We specialize in bookkeeping, accounting administration, reporting, and financial analysis to help businesses optimize their operations. As we expand, we are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our remote team and support our clients' financial needs.**Roles and Responsibilities**:Bookkeeping & Accounting Support:- Manage clients bookkeeping accounts.- Oversee general ledger accounts, journal entries, and month-end close.- Handle accounting administration tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Financial Transactions & Reporting:- Manage vendor invoices, client billing, and payment processing.- Prepare financial statements and ensure timely reporting.- Analyze production costs and assist in financial forecasting.Compliance & Auditing:- Ensure financial processes align with industry standards and regulations (GAAP).- Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate documentation.Ad-Hoc & Business Development Tasks:- Manage and execute ad-hoc tasks as needed to support team and organizational goals.- Assist the CEO in expanding services to existing clients**Skills**:- Proficiency in Excel and accounting/bookkeeping software (Quickbooks preferred)- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.- Strong understanding of job costing and cost tracking for specific projects.- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.- Professionalism, reliability, and a proactive approach to tasks.- Knowledge of accounting for real estate investors, including understanding HUD statements and settlement breakdowns.**Qualifications**:- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)- 2-4 years of relevant experience, ideally with service based companies- Knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting- Advanced English (required)- Reliable internet connection (required)**Physical Setting**:Remote**Schedule**: 9 am - 6 pm EST (1 hour lunch break)Pay: $18,520.00 - $22,630.00 per month**Experience**:- accounting: 2 years (required)- bookkeeping: 2 years (required)**Language**:- Advanced English (required)Work Location: Remote
