Layout Designer

Job TitleLayout DesignerPosition PurposeLayout Designer is the responsible to do and ensure the correct execution of AutoCAD drafting of all layers of all new and existing AutoZone store prototypes, as well as supervising the correct maintaining and updating current prototypes, including fixture layer, text layer, dimensional layers and reset projects as well as uploading on time the correct FOG line list for new stores. Audits and modifies existing AutoZone store prototype layouts based on changes made by Store Operations as well as generate new proposal prototypes working with the different AutoZone departments. Documents changes appropriately across functional areas on AutoZone store layout for the set-up department and store operations as required.Primary Accountabilities- Execution of new stores processEnsure the execution of the complete process of new stores where it involves:- Clone planograms in system- Ensure the correct load of Flexograms in system- Develop a final Layout proposal based on a shared building from pre-construction- Generate and send Download of fixtures with final Layout and cloned store- Generate Layouts in PDF for the Set Up team for the correct assembly of the store- Ensure the correct printing and sending of planograms, labels, signage walk and Layouts of new stores.- Execution of Reset projectsExecute Reset projects in collaboration with the Process Improvement area where it involves:- Propose the new layout according to the needs of each store based on racks with the feedback provided by Process Improvement (Racks with poor quality, lack of additional fixtures, lack of correct implementation in categories, etc.)- Generate and send Download of fixtures to determine implementation date in together with Fixtures and Set Up area- Ensure the correct implementation of each project in together with the Set Up area- Publish updated Layouts- Update and elaborate of new Layout proposalsUpdate store layouts:- Ensure the update and publication of layouts in planograms, flexograms and floor displays based on the needs of the Merchandise area (Line Reviews, Quick Fix, Tests, Clusters, etc.)- Ensure Layouts update of all HUBs / MegaHub based on location codesPrepare new proposals for store layouts:- Remodel Stores- New prototypes- HUBs- Megahubs- Fulfillment- Special projects (Pogroom, competition, JAV, etc.)- Coordinate Store Fixtures requestsCoordinate the needs of fixtures that each of the stores requests based on the established process:- Receive request (Validation of layout) by the operation- Make a Layout proposal according to the need- Send and notify the quotation of fixtures- Ensure correct execution together with the operation and publish Layout- Execute improvement projectsSupport to coordinate and execute the redesign of in-store Layouts (Sales Floor / Hard Parts) to improve the profitability of spaces and shopping experience:- Send Kick Off board- Delegate responsibilities in functional areas according to need- Define execution date- Coordinate execution in a timely manner- Ensure the correct project closure of each functional area.Education & ExperienceLevel of Formal Education: A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.Area of Study: Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Creative Visual Arts.Years of Experience: One to two years.Type of Experience: Extensive graphic design experience and an eye for great design, graphic design principles, and typography. Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to the organization’s needs.Special Certification or Technical Skills:SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGMENT:- AutoCADSET UP- Ability to read layouts- Set Up of fixtures- Layout proposals generationFIXTURES:- Knowledge about fixtures in Hard Parts area- Knowledge about fixtures in Sales Floor area- Knowledge about Secondary Placements fixturesOther / Preferred: Excel, Intermediate English, Analytic Capabilities
