Requisition ID: 34087- Job Location(s): Apodaca, MXDanfoss Refrigeration & A/C Controls (RAC) is looking for a **Category Manager** for mechanical components and products. In this role you will build and execute category strategy and develop supplier relationships. Cooperating with suppliers and internal stakeholder is essential, as you need to build and develop strong and mutual beneficial partnerships to fulfill the overall procurement targets: cost optimization, contractual compliance and creating value for the business. Moreover, you will manage cross-functional projects, participate in negotiations of prices and contracts, and at the same time continuously look for new ways for Danfoss to optimize how we do procurement.You will become part of a team of highly skilled and committed colleagues working closely together and sparring with each other.**Responsibilities**:Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.- Participate developing category strategies and plans for the area in close cooperation with the DCS Central Procurement team- Lead price and contract negotiations with selected suppliers- Support the supplier quality and logistic teams with supplier development activities- Participate in supplier search, RFQ/ benchmark and selection of new suppliers- Drive supplier optimization & risk management in close cooperation with DCS Central Procurement team- Lead resourcing and localization projects**Background & Skills**:You most likely have a bachelor and/or master within a relevant field of study. More importantly you have a proven track record within strategic procurement and/or category management (+ 5 years).
