Responsibilities Plan and coordinate all installations, including heating, electricity, plumbing, equipment control, etc., as well as refurbishments of installations. Carry out documentation and payments of the different dependencies, which provide us with their services, water, electricity, rents, payments to the dependencies. Manage the maintenance of equipment, projects and supplies to comply with health, safety and external audit standards. Inspect building structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations. Supervise facility staff and outside contractors. Manage insurance plans and service contracts. Maintain financial and non-financial records, perform analysis and forecasting. Manage personnel and provide schedule availability. Qualifications College degree in engineering technology is a plus. 3 to 5 years as facilities supervisor. Engineering/Technical or similar education. English as working language. Responsibilities Execute and adhere to the scheduled maintenance plan, ensuring all routine and preventive maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and on time. Continuously monitor equipment operation to proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve potential issues before they impact performance or safety. Collect, analyze, and interpret operational and maintenance data to drive continuous improvement in equipment reliability, uptime, and overall performance. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment by rigorously applying 5S principles (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) at all times. Collaborate with team members by providing technical guidance and support in troubleshooting and resolving complex maintenance challenges. Qualifications A college degree in engineering technology is a plus. Minimum of 2–3 years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in semiconductor manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, or similar production environments. English proficiency — sufficient to understand technical manuals, safety instructions, and communicate with supervisors or international team members. Discover more by following us on LinkedIn GENERAL FUNCTION The Maintenance Excellence Engineer – Automation & Robotics serves as a technical leader responsible for driving the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of highly automated warehouse systems, including sorters, conveyors, AMR/ACR robotic fleets, and PLC-controlled equipment. This role provides advanced troubleshooting expertise, leads root cause analysis, mentors junior engineers/technicians, and partners with cross-functional teams to ensure maximum system uptime and operational excellence. Technical Leadership & Advanced Maintenance Lead complex troubleshooting, diagnostics, and corrective maintenance on automation systems including conveyors, sorters, ASRS, AMR/ACR robots, and associated control systems. Serve as the subject-matter expert for PLC logic, controls architecture, and industrial networks. Perform advanced PLC programming, logic modifications, and system optimization to improve throughput, reliability, and system stability. Conduct in-depth root cause investigations and develop permanent corrective actions for chronic equipment failures. Supporting automation integration and growth of multiple sites in North America. Lead reliability improvement initiatives, downtime reduction plans, and predictive maintenance strategies. Drive process improvements in coordination with Engineering, Operations, and OEM vendors to enhance equipment performance and operational efficiency. Analyse equipment performance data to identify trends, failure patterns, and optimization opportunities. Safety & Compliance Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations, lockout/tagout requirements, and quality standards. Lead safety audits, equipment risk assessments, and implementation of protective system improvements (interlocks, sensors, E-stops, etc.). BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline. 7+ years of experience in automation, robotics maintenance, or industrial controls in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment. Knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi) and industrial communication networks. Strong understanding of robotics technology (AMR/ACR), conveyor systems, sorters, and warehouse automation equipment. Advanced PLC programming experience including function blocks, ladder logic, and structured text. Experience with SCADA, HMI development, and network infrastructure (EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, Profibus etc.). Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic capability. Experience with predictive maintenance technologies Proven success leading cross-functional improvement projects. Excellent communication, prioritization, and leadership skills. WORK ENVIRONMENT Fast-paced automated warehouse or industrial environment. May require shift flexibility, on-call support, and response to critical system failures during non-standard hours.
