Location: Remote Department: Accounting / Finance Reports to: Controller / Accounting Manager Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist who can independently manage our day-to-day AP operations with minimal oversight. This role requires someone who is highly detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and confident communicating with vendors and tenants to resolve billing and payment issues. Rent Manager experience is a must. This person must be able to jump in on day one and work confidently within the system without additional training. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable operations independently Process high-volume invoices, including mortgage payments Set up and maintain vendor accounts Follow up on outstanding bills and resolve billing discrepancies Research and resolve payment issues Handle tenant deposit refunds and related inquiries Perform accurate GL coding and general ledger account maintenance Maintain organized and up-to-date AP records Communicate directly with vendors via phone and email to resolve issues Occasionally communicate with tenants to confirm deposit receipts or answer billing-related questions Must- Have Qualifications Rent Manager experience (non-negotiable) Must be able to navigate the system independently for GL coding and tenant data from day one Strong Accounts Payable background Comfortable handling high-volume bill processing Experience with mortgage payments Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Comfortable making and receiving phone calls with vendors and tenants Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Nice to Have Experience with AvidXchange Familiarity with Asana or similar task/project management tools
