We are backed by world-class investors such as Gradient Ventures (Google’s AI-focused fund), General Catalyst, Y Combinator, Femsa Ventures, PayU, among others.A few articles that have been published about R2: Fintech R2 Inks $100 Million Credit Line to Boost Mexico Lending, Google leads fresh investment in embedded lending fintech R2, and Rappi and R2 to Provide Loans to Restaurants in Mexico and ColombiaAs a **Product Engineer**, you will:- Own the product from ideation to execution, ensuring its success and continuous improvement.- Spend time coding while also engaging with customers and stakeholders to understand their needs and feedback.- Balance pragmatic solutions with technical excellence to meet user needs effectively.- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to align on product goals and priorities.- Conduct user research, analyze usage data, and keep an eye on competitive products.- Develop prototypes, run experiments, and iterate quickly to enhance the product.- Communicate product roadmaps and gather feedback from both users and internal teams.**Who you are**- 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on product-centric roles or close collaboration with product teams.- Full-stack experience, capable of executing complete projects independently.- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and the React framework.- Experience working with product analytics and MarTech tools, from implementation and maintenance to interpretation.- Strong problem-solving skills with a user-first mindset.- Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish.- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of the product's success.- Passionate about fintech and the impact of financial solutions on SMBs in Latin America.- Familiarity with APIs and the ability to create internal tools or products using external APIs.- Experience with SQL for data querying and analysis.**Nice to have**- Data engineering background or experience interpreting large amounts of data to gather insights and make decisions.- Familiarity with CRM and MarTech tools such as Zoho, Amplitude, MixPanel, Segment, PostHog, or similar.- Previous experience in fintech and startups, with a hands-on, proactive approach.
