As an Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in leading and managing the Maintenance, Facilities, and Quality team within a manufacturing organization. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing projects, guiding technical teams, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and driving innovation to achieve organizational goals.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
  • Lead and supervise a team of engineers and technical staff, providing guidance, mentoring, and support.
  • Set clear objectives, evaluate performance, and foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop talent within the team through coaching, training, and professional development initiatives.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Able to identify Department growth path to support the Corporation Casting Strategy.
  • Oversee engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize project outcomes.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise in engineering disciplines relevant to the organization’s products or services.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to develop new products and improve existing ones.
  • Capable to design and/or solve problems in the following Engineering fields: Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Electronics, Mechanical, and Electrical.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical and Electrical), no Industrial Engineering .
  • Experience in a transformation metal mechanical industry preferred.
  • Proven experience (typically 7+ years) in engineering roles with increasing levels of responsibility and leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead engineering teams, including project management experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in engineering principles, design methodologies, and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong knowledge of Equipment and Facilities Maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of SPC, FEMA’s.
  • Six Sigma Experience.
  • Experience in product development, innovation, and implementing engineering best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
