JOB DESCRIPTION: Our Advanced Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for sourcing activities from RFQ, through Program Launch. Leading our Supply Chain activities in order assist the Engineering and Sales Teams.RESPONSIBILITIES- ADVANCE SOURCING FOR QUOTING NEW PROGRAMS & ONCE AWARD, MANAGING PROCUREMENT ACTIVITIES THRU THEPROGRAM LAUNCH- WORK WITH EXISTING VENDORS TO KEEP THE ORGANIZATION AT THE FOREFRONT OF EXISTING AND EVEN POTENTIAL NEWPRODUCTS, THIS INCLUDES SCHEDULING PRESENTATIONS & TRAININGS- CREATING AND MAINTAINING RAW MATERIAL PART NUMBERS IN THE ERP FOR NEW MATERIALS UNTIL PROGRAM LAUNCH- WORKING WITH THE RAW MATERIAL PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST TO ENSURE A SEAMLESS HANDOFF FROM PRE-PRODUCTIONACTIVITIES TO FULL PRODUCTION ONCE THE PROGRAM SOP HAS BEEN REACHED.- COORDINATE WITH OTHER SUPPLY CHAIN SPECIALISTS TO LEVERAGE EXISTING SUPPLY CHAIN ACTIVITIES TO MINIMIZE TO FREIGHTEXPENSES WHEN POSSIBLE- ONBOARDING NEW VENDORS & MAINTAINING KEY CONTACTS AT EXISTING VENDORS- PERFORM VENDOR AUDITS & CAPACITY VALIDATIONS- WORK WITH VENDORS AND INTERNAL PARTNERS TO COORDINATE VA/VE ACTIVITIES- AUTHOR & MAINTAIN VENDOR MATRIX INCLUDING WHAT MATERIALS MEET WHICH AUTOMOTIVE SPECS- AUTHOR & MAINTAIN TDS, SDS, HTS/USMCA, AND REGULATORY COMPLIANCE (ROHS, REACH, ISO/IATF, PROP 65, ETC.)
