Principal Responsibilities:

  • Define process needs of new products and/or production line transfers and ensure the development of procedures, tools, and equipment to meet production metrics.
  • Participate in problem-solving devices (8D) by developing, implementing, and managing tooling and the introduction of poka-yoke to eliminate or reduce errors.
  • Generate, update, and maintain work instructions on the production line and update the line's PFMEA according to process requirements.
  • Coordinate with product and quality engineering for the manufacturing of prototype products and pilot builds.
  • Contribute to multifunctional teams to improve quality of processes and products.
  • Participate in the plant's continuous improvement process and contribute to the deployment and implementation of business strategies (e.g. Lean Manufacturing, Kanban).
  • Train production line team to ensure proper operations.
  • Monitor the quality management system.
  • Generate backup (drawing/manual) of accessories and equipment for each process.
  • Fulfill other activities assigned by the immediate supervisor.

What You’ll Do:

  • Update and create work instructions and visual aids.
  • Keep PFMEA updated and follow up on recommended actions for high RPNs.
  • Work with multidisciplinary groups to implement Lean Manufacturing.
  • Collaborate in the training process and evaluation of production team members.
  • Provide tooling needed for manufacturing processes ensuring safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Manage process-related activities for new product introduction from planning through production.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Safety: Promote and comply with EHS guidelines.
  • Follow up on findings reported in our Velocity platform.
  • Ensure ergonomic work operations with proper tooling.
  • Quality: Participate in quality system continuous improvement.
  • Manage the EazyWorks platform for product critical points.
  • Metrics: Monitor metrics and resolve actions if metrics are not met.
  • Participate in alternative materials fit, form, and function.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in process improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in corporate platform programs.

Skills/Experience We’re Looking For:

  • GD&T (geometric dimensions and tolerances)
  • Poka-yoke methods
  • Standardized work, 5S/Kaizen workshops
  • Analysis and problem solving (8D, 5 Whys, Fish diagrams)
  • Project management
  • Statistical process control
  • Drawing software management
  • Development of process charts, PFMEA, process flow diagrams
  • Ergonomics

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience.
  • Intermediate English proficiency.
