The role of the data modeling specialist works as part of Business Analytics Global team and performs as member to build E2E business analytics solutions for multiple domains.This role systematically provides development and implement data modeling solutions using relational, dimensional, and NoSQL databases, the data modeling specialist works closely with data architects to design databases using a mixture of conceptual, physical, and logical data models to improve efficiency and outputs, and may focus on issues such as reducing data redundancy or improving data movement across systems.**Main Responsibilities**:- Responsible for the development of the conceptual, logical, and physical data models.- Develops data models to meet the needs of the organizations for the multiple domains looking for best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within the system.- Manages the flow of information between departments using relational databases.- Collaborate closely with advance analytics, source and process and visualization team.- Creates and maintains data models and data flows for our databases, developing script for data cleansing and data integrity to eliminate redundancy.- Analyzing and translate business needs into long term solution data models.**Position Challenges**:- Design the models according to the business needs and ensure its scalability and operation within the business.- Ability to learn and adapt quickly.**Qualifications**:Any requirement for this role, you may divide these into:- Language Proficiency: Advanced English & Spanish- Academic Background: Computer science Engineer (or related Engineering), analytics solutions, reporting.- Areas of expertise:- 3 years: Experience manipulating large data sets and building complex data models and solutions.- 3 years: Related to Data topics supporting different Business areas or Information Technology areas.- 3 years: Data Management, Data Lakes, Data Services, Databases, Semantic layers.- Planning & organizing skillsSkills desired by role:- Knowledge of CEMEX Data Strategy- Knowledge of CEMEX process platforms (SAP, MVC, Grafoper, Concur, CAVI, Intelex)- Knowledge of CEMEX processes: P2P, O2C, H2R, R2R- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detailsSoft Skills- Team player- Time management, projects oriented- Self-motivated- Creativity- Decision making- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills**Internal/External Relations**:INTERNAL:- Data source and Processes team- Business Analytics development team- Advanced Analytics Team- Business Analytics (Advanced Analytics Lead, BA Regional Advisors, and local teams)EXTERNAL:- IBM, NEORIS, other 3rd parties’ providers.**CEMEX Diversity and Inclusion Statement**:At CEMEX, we recognize the diversity of the world in which we live and in which we do business.
