**Position Summary**:The Sr Merch Analysts are internal consultants for the merchandising department. They provide the data for the line review process as well as a statistical and financial foundation for merchandising decisions regarding pricing and product placement. The specific responsibility of this role is catalog analysis, defining family structures, and execution of various tactics to improve coverage in the catalog and store stocked coverage.**Responsibilities**:- Administer periodic vendor NYA notifications to load catalogs with new parts and/or expand vehicles.- Review and define catalog families for each category update that will be used by stock analysts to evaluate coverage vs choice and used by pricing analysts for setting retail tiers.- Interface with Quick Add Administrator to recommend newly set up items to stock in stores.- Complete various Merchandising stocking projects and related analytics.- Actively contribute to team goals and seek opportunities to lead.**Skills and Requirements**:- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study (statistics, economics, business analytics, finance, etc.) or equivalent professional experience in analytics, pricing, insights, consumer research, inventory, category management, and/or business analysis- 5-7 years of experience in analytics, pricing, insights, consumer research, inventory, category management, and/or business analysis- Strong technical skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Python, R/RStudio, SQL, SAS, JMP, VBA, Google Analytics- Communicates effectively and tailors communications appropriately to different audiences- Effectively define/frame problems, identify data sources, process large amounts of data efficiently, translate complex findings by creating reports and managing the communication of insights in a consumable format that drives action and results- Other/preferred: Master’s degree preferred (MSBA, MBA, or equivalent graduate degree)
