We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Vice President US Risk & Compliance Chief of Staff . The Chief of Staff team supports Chief Risk Officers and Chief Compliance Officers across an array of activities including, managing day‑to‑day business management requirements. People strategy and performance management Organizational design, discreet and non‑transformation/strategic projects Facilitate strategic decisions and mediate across senior stakeholders within Global Business (GB), Global Functions (GF) and Digital Business Services (DBS), mitigating risks and issues as they arise Interface with Group Risk & Compliance on a variety of issues and workstreams Mahlp>h3>MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Financial cost control and planning Risks and control oversight Oversee and manage internal governance and program frameworks Develop/ manage the function’s performance scorecards Support/ implement the continuing development or evolution of the function’s operating model and organizational design REQUIREMENTS Highly motivated and organized self‑starter with proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams Proven written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail dy Strong governance and other business management capabilities Ability to present compelling arguments and insights to management to support business decisions Very good analytical and presentation skills Ability to build effective connections, work collaboratively with multiple teams and influence outcomes Ability to distill data and information into clear narratives, themes and issues Ability to multi‑task well under pressure and times of ambiguity Highly organized with systemic approach to execution Proven ability to articulate complex issues concisely and in clear language Clear record of managing and delivering a high number of competing tasks/workstreams in a high‑pressure environment Track record working and collaborating with very senior stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes Strong knowledge in change and performance improvement methodologies Strong English‑speaking and writing skills You’ll achieve more when you join HSBC At HSBC we offer our colleagues a greater number of days so that they can fully enjoy their wedding, take care of a new family member, or grieve the loss of a family member.
