**LOCATION**:Apodaca / Nuevo León (MX-NLE), Mexico |**BRAND**: Bendix |**REQUISITION ID**:1888 |** JOB GRADE**:15**JOB DESCRIPTION**:**Position Summary**:Product Engineer supporting the Vehicle Dynamic Systems (VDS) product lines. The Product Engineer will be responsible for the development and launching of electronic components and braking safety systems for commercial vehicles.**Essential Functions**:- Release of products and documentation using using tools such as Teamcenter PLM and PTC Integrity- Application of VDS functions, systems, components, and mounting hardware.- Assignments will include control system design, product and feature design, requirements definition, cross-product communication interfaces, product testing, and release.- Author technical documentation for VDS products, including test reports and customer-facing specifications for installation, calibration, and service of these systems.- Support VDS team(s) in an Agile/SCRUM environment- Interface with corporate, customer, software developers, systems engineers, design engineers and management to communicate status of projects.- Coordinate technician resources for test setup, component validation and data collection- Travel to production and supplier facilities to lead and support production facilities launch team as well as support ongoing production inquiries.- Support field troubleshooting calls regarding electronics systems- Willing to travel (test track, customer locations, winter test) as required up to 25%.**Knowledge**:- Demonstrated problem-solving skills in a team environment- Detail oriented and driven to complete assigned tasks on time- Able to create technical requirements, specifications, and test plans- Able to perform technical presentations to OEM customers- Knowledge of electronic vehicle control systems- Technical knowledge of VDS components and impact on overall vehicle performance is a strong plus.- Experience with** **CANalyzer.- Basic knowledge in CANape, CANoe, Matlab, Simulink, Trucksim and Phyton is a strong plus.- Skills with data acquisition systems for vehicle and environmental testing.- Software / Hardware in the loop testing is a strong plus.- Knowledge and experience with product quality tools such as system FMEA, DVP&R, ASPICE, and ISO 26262 - Functional Safety Concepts.- Knowledge of air brake systems is a plus.- Ability to work in a cross-functional team in a dynamic working environment including international team members- Knowledge in Matlab/Simulink or similar control system development tools is a plus.- Basic knowledge in use of Python, Matlab and/or C programming languages is a plus.**Experience**:Engineer 1 - up to 1 yearsEngineer 2 - up to 3 yearsEngineer 3 - up to 7 years5+ years of product development experience2+ years of automotive industry or commercial vehicle industry preferred**Skills**:- Ability to assimilate and learn new tools and develop a cross-functional skill set.- Capable of prioritizing time/resources/goals and possess strong interpersonal skills to ensure success in a cross-functional, team environment.- Ability to assimilate data quickly- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and a proactive work ethic.- Ability to develop new processes with strategic thinking to enhance business unit performance.- Support teams in planning and decision making.- Influential and motivational, provides direction, removes barriers.- Performs assignments with sense of urgency.- Desire to learn new tools and develop a cross-functional skill set.**Education**:Bachelor’s Degree or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering or Systems Engineering required**Travel Requirements**:Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time and willing to spend time during testing periods at the test track.**What does Bendix have to offer you?**- Work-life balance that includes Paid Vacation & Holiday Paid Time Off- Vacation Premium- Major medical expenses- Christmas Bonus- Life insurance- Educational assistance program- Saving Fund- Pantry Vouchers- Personal Days Paid- Permits paid for: Marriage or Death of a direct relative- Cafeteria Bonus
