**Regional Process Safety Management Engineer**This position is responsible for supporting Nouryon’s production facilities in the Americas by providing expertise in and assistance in compliance with Nouryon’s global and regional PSM requirements.Nouryon is a global, specialty chemicals leader. Reporting to the Regional PSM Manager, you’ll focus on developing and implementing fit-for-purpose requirements in the PSM space, with a focus on Nouryon’s site at Mexico City. If you’re passionate about process safety and are fluent in Spanish, this role is a great fit**In your future role as PSM SME you will**:- _Be a PSM Thought Leader: Analyze and improve regional PSM requirements to achieve effective compliance with regulatory requirements._- _ Be a PSM SME: Know the global and regional PSM requirements and help your assigned sites achieve and maintain compliance. Participate in audits in the region as required._- _ Share Knowledge: Develop and deliver training for global and regional PSM requirements. Work hand in hand to recognize process safety issues and develop solutions._- _ Additional Duties: Independently identify opportunities for improvement in the PSM space at regional sites, then take action to address gaps._**We believe you bring**:- _- _ Communication Skills: Strong ability to read, write, and communicate in English and Spanish. Fluency in both languages is required for this role._- _ Technical Skills: Experience conducting hazard assessments, executing and / or coordinating MOC’s, implementing / executing other technical safety programs. CCPS / SIS accreditation is a plus._- _ Physical Abilities: Able to work in plant environments, climb stairs, lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights, and in hot outdoor conditions._- _ Travel: Travel up to 35% is possible depending on site needs and audit requirements.
