**YOUR ROLE**As a Trade Legislation Analyst on our team, you’ll ensure continued compliance in the programs in which Aptiv participates (IMMEX, Authorized Economic Operator - AEO, CTPAT, and VAT Certification), through collaboration with other functional areas and by conducting compliance audits of these programs and/or certifications.In your daily job you will:- Monitoring and communicating regulatory changes prior to their official publication.- Drafting legal documents and/or legal papers used in the area.- Contracts:- Reviewing contracts with clients and/or suppliers (goods or services).- Preparing contracts with business partners in the area, such as customs brokers, among others.- Analyzing non-tariff restrictions applicable to specific import or export transactions.- Submitting authorizations and/or permits to various authorities, registering addresses with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SE), CIVA, and OAS.- Executing and monitoring the internal audit program.- Any other work-related activities related to your position and/or required by your immediate supervisor.**YOUR BACKGROUND**Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:- +2 years of experience in customs or CE Compliance.- Bachelor's degree in International Commerce with knowledge of law and/or a Law degree with knowledge of foreign trade.- Intermediate English.- Advanced knowledge in drafting legal documents (contracts, service agreements, loan agreements, etc.).- Knowledge of the automotive industry.- Skills to attend and/or conduct audits (SAT-CBP).- Soft Skills:- Critical thinking and problem-solving.- Teamwork and leadership.- Time management, work ethic.- Effective communication at all levels.- Work-related empathy.- Adaptability, and flexibility.- Integrity, responsibility, punctuality, and honesty.**WHY JOIN US?**- **You can grow at Aptiv.**Aptiv provides an inclusive work environment where all individuals can grow and develop, regardless of gender, ethnicity or beliefs.- **You can have an impact**.
