**THE COMPANY**We have been retained by our client who is the leading aquaculture company in north America in their product category. They are globally recognized as producing and distributing the highest quality product through sustainable and environmentally responsible ranching practices. Due to their high growth, they are looking for a strong supply chain leader that will help them optimize their procurement and logistics processes to reach the highest levels of efficiency.**THE POSITION**- Be a leader to the supply chain team to manage all aspects of the supply chain process including procurement, logistics, transportation, and import/export activities to optimize efficiency and minimize costs.- Develop and implement procurement and sourcing strategies to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products and services at a competitive price (Equipment, supplies, tools, transportation services, fishing vessels, fuels, etc.).- Manage relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality, delivery, and pricing requirements.- Stay up to date with industry trends, market developments, innovation in products and services, and regulations related to procurement, logistics and import/export for the aquaculture and fishing industries. Participating and visiting global aquaculture & fishing expos would be highly encouraged.- Collaborate with suppliers and customers to ensure end to end timely delivery of goods and resolve any issues related to transportation or delivery.- Monitor inventory levels and oversee inventory management processes to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products.- Manage all import/export activities including customs clearance, documentation, and compliance with regulatory requirements.- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements.- Collaborate with other departments, including sales, finance, and operations, to ensure smooth and efficient supply chain operations.**THE CANDIDATE**- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role (supply chain manager or equivalent)- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Aquaculture and/or fishing industry- Strong experience overseeing procurement, logistics and import/export.- Knowledge of customs regulations and international trade requirements (US / Mexico)- Excellent communication and negotiation skills- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, supply chain management software, and strong experience working with an ERP.- Bilingual (English/Spanish)- Absolute sense of accountability and high sense of urgency
