About the role:

The Global Reliability Engineering Manager is responsible for developing and implementing Maintenance Reliability Tools; standardizing and optimizing Reliability KPIs; developing standardized Asset Maintenance Plans (AMP); establishing, implementing and sustaining an enterprise-wide equipment maintenance strategy, enabling the transfer of skills and knowledge to maintenance, operations and engineering professionals to increase Operations productivity, equipment reliability, uptime and safety, and to drive down maintenance and operating costs.

You will be accountable to enhance asset Reliability, increase asset Availability and Performance, increase Capacity, increase Operating Margins, and reduce overall maintenance costs. The ability to develop capability across the enterprise to improve cost and reliability is a key focus within this role, as the Global Reliability Engineering Manager is the developer, steward, and gatekeeper of reliability engineering for Convatec worldwide.

Your key duties and responsibilities as a Global Reliability Engineering Manager:

  • Implement Reliability plan, tools, and KPIs across the network and work with local teams to train maintenance personnel on Reliability tools and improve system availability.
  • Develop and establish a Maintenance & Reliability Dashboard that drives decision making. Track Global Reliability KPIs (Availability, MTBF, MTTR, etc.).
  • Develop new documentation as required and update existing documentation.
  • Make decisions based on feasibility studies and costing analysis from CMMS / EAM data, identify trends, solve problems, and make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Provide reliability-engineered solutions to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness.
  • Lead development of standard work procedures for Maintenance and Operations personnel as it pertains to TPM & Reliability Engineering.
  • Manage equipment failures in real time as required.
  • Perform root-cause analysis, define and implement corrective actions.
  • Specific knowledge on completing and reviewing Process Flows, FMEAs, and Control Plans.
  • Ensure technical requirements are met and understood by local, frontline experts regarding installation, use and maintenance of various types of diagnostic testing equipment for Predictive Maintenance.
  • Establish effective management routines and governance systems that guide actions to deliver expected reliability and cost performance (KPIs, KAs).
  • Support and ensure successful implementation of TPM & Reliability Engineering execution.

About You:

  • 5+ years' experience in Maintenance & Reliability. Skills & Knowledge of TPM, RCM, and Maintenance Optimization. Experience implementing Total Productive Maintenance Programs or Reliability Centered Maintenance Programs.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience implementing &/or leading CMMS across multiple sites of an enterprise.
  • Thorough understanding of PPM (Professional Plan Maintenance) and Reliability & Maintainability tools and techniques.
  • Highly proficient aptitude for technology and systems. Experience with organizational transformation & change management.
  • Experience managing equipment failures in real time (Advanced RCA – Root Cause Analysis and machine Troubleshooting).
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to a diverse audience, at multiple levels within the company. Experienced CMMS Administrator to oversee asset management.
  • Hands-on plant experience installing, operating, and maintaining equipment, maintenance management systems, preventive and predictive maintenance.

Education / Qualifications:

  • 4/5 years BA/BS degree from university in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Industrial) or related fields - Required.
  • Communicative level of English.
  • Master on Maintenance Management, Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM), Certified Reliability Leader (CRL), Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) / ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE)- TPM Certified - Minimum one is Required.
  • Project Management Institute (PMI), Certified Project Manager Professional (PMP) - Preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • The working conditions are for an office-based worker, working on a computer.
  • The position will have access to a controlled environment manufacturing facility, which produces medical device and wound care products.
  • This role will require some travel. An estimate is that travel would be approximately 10% but could be more or less in a given time period depending on business needs or the particular project. It will involve travel to any Convatec plants in the manufacturing network.
