This is your chance to be part of a team that has the backing to innovate, disrupt an industry and change lives**About this role**:The Project Management Lead will use their IT expertise, bio-pharma industry trends and in-depth understanding of AZ business priorities to lead the functional/capability IT/Digital strategy development, investment planning, and delivery. They will own the overall portfolio and lead one or a set of interrelated major global projects/programmes. The role maintains project accountability, from initiation to close, to deliver effective solutions that meet approved customer and business needs.The role is accountable for a distributed team of BA/PM/Scrum Hybrids who are responsible for resolving and delivering solutions to approved budget and schedule commitments whilst meeting required quality and compliance standards. Focus areas include partner management (varies by organization), risk management and delivery of business benefit. This role is also required to follow established project management standards and lead / supply to continued development of the project / programme management capability.Strong collaboration is required working with colleagues across the BTG and the C4Es, to identify the capabilities required to ensure outcomes/requirements and clearly understood and can be delivered. Bring true thought-leadership, the role will play a driving role in the transformation and contribution to the technology direction and strategy for the specialist area.**Key Accountabilities**:The Senior Project Management Lead role covers the OPSIT Capability portfolio and is expected to perform in the following areas:- Line Management of the BA/PM/Scrum Hybrid team- Support the collation and own the prioritization of portfolio, balancing priorities and IT/Operations strategic principles and governance. Prioritise the workload of the team accordingly- Build resource capability within the Hybrid team required to deliver the current and future portfolio- Oversee, drive and approve plans for projects / programmes, including activities, resources, costs, roles, responsibilities and quality as defined in the IT Project Management Methodology (ADF) using waterfall and scaled Agile.- Drive the collation of information from relevant sources for analysis and trends for informed decision making, using a high degree of domain area knowledge and expertise.- Manage and coordinate interdependencies between projects and programme workstreams (intra-program, across capability portfolio and across global and site IT).- Manage relationships with senior business collaborators to ensure the effective capturing of business requirements and commitment to project/program objectives. Responsible for leading steering / partner meetings, communication of status, issues, risks.- Drive effective risks & issues management, ensuring governance processes are in place and effectively used. Ensure risks are mitigated, and issues are resolved and advanced as appropriate.- Build a cohesive project /programme team and provide the leadership vital to improve the team’s success.- Manage and coordinate project / programme budgets, forecasts, tasks, schedules, risks, change management, and status to support effective decisions and project reporting to partners and review boards.- Own project / programme improvement plans and be responsible for execution of remediation plans.- Manage changes to project/programme scope, ensuring that all impacts and changes are approved and appropriately communicated to partners and review boards.- Assure / develop service transition plans to ensure project delivered solutions are sustainable within a BAU
