Job Description
  • The area of experience includes the creation of the facility as per the requirement:
  • Core Expertise in Handling HVAC Design including low side & high Side.
  • Capex estimation for HVAC system for all projects.
  • Design & selection of Utility equipment like – Chiller & its Distribution system, Cooling tower & its distribution system, Hot Water Generation & distribution system.
  • Design Co-ordination with clean room vendor and Finalization of RCP & wall panel layout including clean room equipment like LAF/SPB/DPB for all FTO and CTO plants.
  • Technical Evaluation of vendors and ensuring to release PO on time.
  • Co-ordination with SCM & vendors for delivery of material at site.
  • Ensuring GFC drawings approval.
  • Support & Coordination for BMS and EMS including electrical requirement for HVAC with departmental Peers.
  • Supporting Plant End users to identify and deliver the solution for unresolved issues in HVAC system.
  • Commissioning & Validation: Coordinate / Support to Site PM for the Commissioning & validation activity for HVAC & Clean room equipment.

Project Planning: Prepare cost estimates for HVAC System and project plan for Green field and Brown field projects and help in getting approval by providing data / conceptual drawings; prepare project schedule (HVAC System) as per sequence of activities (Mechanical Completion, Facility completion, installation qualification, operation qualification, commissioning and closeout); identify and propose the design consultants for finalization in order to complete the activity of the project.

Project Design: HVAC Detail Design for the facility with respect to statutory, Regulatory and user requirement (Layout, finalization of quantities and capacities); prepare and review specifications with respect to approved user requirement specifications and Regulatory, statutory requirements and get the approval from stakeholders; prepare a detailed project plan post design phase; schedule a cross-functional stakeholder meeting to get approval for detailing of the project (responsibility is for the HVAC Discipline) and layout in order to have a common in-depth understanding of project requirements.

Project Implementation: Propose to the SCM team for finalization of the vendors to order and execute the job; monitor the execution in terms of time, cost and quality of the activities (Comply with the design specifications, schedule and budget) in order to successfully deliver the project.

Knowledge Sharing: Record and report all the achievements, mistakes, best practices, mishaps and value additions to L+1, HOD and SCM in order to prepare corrective actions for future projects Design, Procurement and Installations including Validations.

Contract Management: Guide, monitor & review the work contracts during the project ordering, execution phase and Validation phase ensure that they are following the safety Quality requirements in order to ensure that the standards comply with DRL requirements.

Other responsibilities:

  • Supporting CTO and FTO plant end users for HVAC System minor modifications design review and detailing to finalizing the Ordering and procurement by coordinating with SCM.
  • Supporting CTO and FTO plants engineering personnel in major issues in HVAC systems to resolve on permanent basis with required modifications or implementing corrective actions.
  • Continuous improvement of HVAC System to conserve energy in CTO and FTO plants.
  • Introducing new products to simplify and for user-friendly operation and maintenance of HVAC systems in CTO and FTO plants.
  • Educating HVAC team and bringing awareness about the current guidelines / regulatory requirements and improving the technical knowledge on HVAC system operation, troubleshooting and maintenance to reduce downtime of HVAC System.
  • Identification of Idle assets (HVAC) across the FTOs and CTOs and Utilizing the same instead of buying new products by cross verifying the suitability for new application.
Qualifications

BE Mechanical with 20+ years of experience in hard Core Design of HVAC (high side & low Side).

Total 20+ years of experience in handling the Green field and Brown field pharmaceuticals Projects.
