Materials Planning Analyst I

Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.**Role**:Procure and manage the materials needed for the company's operation, ensuring that the right materials are available at the right time, in the right quantities.**What You Will Do**:- Determine the needs for materials, products or services that the company requires, whether for stock replenishment or regular operational requirements.- Maintain an adequate stock to meet demand, avoiding both shortages and overstocks.- Performing work to achieve supply chain performance targets focused on backorders, estimated ship dates, SSP (Supplier Shipping Performance), past due schedules, inventory and turns. Recognizes software systems or components used to manage supply chain. (ie: Microsoft, Excel, MRC (Materials Requirement Collaboration), SAP, DDMRP).- Execute schedule adjustments through collaboration, order min/mults, EOQs (Economic Order Quantity), lost or misdirected shipments, transportation issues, ASN (Advanced Shipping Notifications) issues, E/C (Engineering Change) level or material code changes, backorder escalation, and all other supplier issues impacting performance targets- Grief & OSD resolution**Degree Requirement**:- Bachelor’s degree in international business, International Trade, Industrial Engineer Administrator, Mechanical Engineer Administrator or Related Careers- Intermediate Conversational English Level**Decision Making and Critical Thinking**:- High level: Ability to analyze information objectively, critical thinking for decision-making in different areas within the supply chain**Problem Solving**:- High level: Ability to identify obstacles and restrictions that prevent reaching objectives, analyze and look for different alternatives to solve problems that avoid reaching an undesired result**Relationship Management**:- Provides prompt and effective responses to client requests and interactions.- Basic-Intermediate SAP proficiency (CBS Module)- Minimum of one year of professional background in Supply Chain- Works with suppliers/clients to address critical issues and resolve major problems.- Advanced Conversational and written English- Intermediate SAP proficiency (CBS Module)- Knowledge in managing indirect materials- Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency- Power BI**Additional information**:Location: Santa CatarinaThis position is from Monday to FridayDomestic relocation assistance is not available for this position.Don't forget to include an English resume in your Workday profile**Final details****The Caterpillar Code of Conduct states that we will select and place employees based on their qualifications for the job to be performed, without regard to race, religion, national origin, color, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or disability.
