ResponsibilitiesResponsible for managing the technical projects of suppliers around capacity, capability and maintenance to improve supplier delivery, quality, and cost.Responsible for providing technical support for the approval / validation of changes / improvements in supplier processes.Responsible for providing technical support for the resolution of component quality issues.Responsible for determining tooling requirements to maintain component supply.Compliance with safety policies and procedures.Ensures compliance with Environmental Management System (EMS) responsibilities.Follow J&J, CNV and BWI Records Management Policies for Convenience Information.Records Retention Schedules, Training and Education, Document Hold Notices, Records Cleanout, Inactive Records and Information Management, Vital Records and third‑party vendor if applicable.Oversees technical execution of projects.Provides comprehensive technical advice.Facilitates resolution of complex technical and operational problems.Promotes innovation initiatives for new products and ideas.Reviews and approves technical documentation to verify compliance to technical specifications and standards.Communicates with internal (manufacturing, quality, engineering) and external partners to coordinate and execute project plans.Assigns tasks according to projected scopes including compliance and quality improvement, cost reduction, cycle time reduction, capacity increase, raw material qualification, and launch preparation.Monitors smooth execution of plans and programs at lower levels and cross-functionally.Allocates proper level of resources to facilitate attainment of project goals within established timeliness and budgets.Ensures departmental and company compliance with all local government and company regulations, policies and procedures for health, safety and environmental compliance.Other responsibilities may be assigned and not all responsibilities listed may be assigned.The supervision it receives is essentially administrative, with assignments, objectives and limits given in general terms.He / She has full technical and administrative responsibility to interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate his / her areas of responsibility.Establishes operational goals and objectives in the same line and strategies of the corporation. Prepares programs for projects and coordinates activities to ensure the specifications of corporate goals and objectives are achieved.Maintains liaison between individuals and areas within or around your organization, with responsibility to act independently on techniques or issues related to your area.Ensures the introduction of new products in compliance with operational G&O.Identifies needs and coordinates the development and support of systems, i.E., Materials Management, Quality Assurance, Human Resources, Information Management, and Interdependent partnering.Ensures the right level of manufacturing, materials, and personnel.Develops all capital investment and operational expense budgets that support business needs. Provides analysis of variance and corrective actions.Perfectly understands the precepts of the Quality System Regulations (QSR). It makes sure to comply with ISO and QSR regulations.Reviews and recommends changes to current policies and procedures as they apply to present business needs.Provides and establishes an appropriate climate for operation within the business unit through the implementation of projects related to continuous improvement and in compliance with regulations that apply to all aspects of the business.Make decisions based on an understanding of multiple departments and the relationship between them.Foster relationships by influencing the entire organization to unify criteria.Manages the operation to ensure the achievement of CIP and COGS initiatives.Understands and implements Signature of Quality (SOQ), Lean Mfg. and Process Excellence (six sigma) methods.Provides leadership to meet the challenges of Diversity.Responsible for the development and implementation of environmental, safety and health programs.Engineering Change.Control of Product Design / Processes / EquipmentSupervisory ResponsibilitiesIt manages its Component Engineering Team (where applicable), generating development plans that encourage permanence in the company. It is responsible for all labor matters of its administrative employees.Responsible for developing subordinates and encouraging them to use their full potential.Is responsible for communicating business-related matters or opportunities to the next managerial level.For those who supervise or manage personnel, they are responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all the Company's guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environment practices and that all necessary resources to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable.Is responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State and Local company regulations, policies, and procedures.Performs other assigned tasks as needed.QualificationsGenerally, requires (8-10) years related experience.University / Bachelor's degree or Equivalent. Master's degree preferably.Bilingual English / Spanish.Skills and general knowledge for financial analysis, budgeting, and costs preferable.Always committed to the values of the CREDO, knowledge, and compliance with the business process, visionary leadership.Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive complaints.Ability to write speeches and articles using original and innovative techniques and styles.Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations of complex topics to employees at all levels, senior management, audience group and the board of directors.Skills in the use of PC's and associated software, preferably knowledge of JDE (JD Edwards). Project management skills : ability to lead teams in different locations executing projects.Knowledge of component manufacturing processes (preferably plastic and metal injection molding, metal stamping, casting and machining). Technical skills, preferably : Tool design, Product / Process Risk Assessment, Cleaning validations, Design and automation of Equipment, Process development for NPD, Interplant transfer, Development and validation of test methods, Lean and Six Sigma skills (GB, BB, MBB), Process Validation (Change Management), Design Validation and Verification (Design Control), RCA / Failure Analysis / Troubleshooting Guide, Operations Management, CAD / Solid Works, Technical Process Writing, Regulatory Knowledge, Process Characterization, Mechanical and Electrical Skills, Geometric Dimensions and Tolerances (GD&T), Understanding product inputs and outputs (Design Intent) f. FEA, Knowledge in polymer materials, Chemical processing, DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly), Assembly process and equipment development, Ability to negotiate with various representative government agencies, Ability to effectively manage conflicts and the ability to resolve them diplomatically, Ability to translate corporate goals and objectives into successful strategies, Strong ability to analyze and solve problems, interpersonal relationship skills, negotiation, leadership, ability to interact with associates, technology management, financial analysis, and customer‑oriented marketing decisions, Knowledge of products and operations processes, Knowledge of the Quality system and procedures of structure of documents of preference, Computer skills : very proficient in word processing programs, spreadsheets, presentations, database applications, statistical analysis software, engineering application software packages (FEA, CAD, etc.).
