This individual oversees meeting planning functions for the IHGOA in the region and works with the MLAC Committees and Working Groups to increase memberships, manage regional budgets & payments and regional communications. For each activity, goals, objectives, and a corresponding budget are set.**Meetings -**Maintains annual meeting and events calendar for the MLAC countries, in collaboration with the Director, Meetings & Events and COOAssists with managing the MLAC Committee meetings and Working Group Meetings, which may include the following specific tasks:- Coordination and setting of agendas and presentations in collaboration with the regional stakeholders, the Chairs and Vice Chairs, and with IHG presenters- Preparation of meeting materials- Taking and distributing minutes- Interfacing with IHG to assemble follow-up actions and distribute to MLAC Committees- Coordination of events in conjunction with IHG Conference, in collaboration with the COO- Maintaining the IHGOA designated system with up-to-date committee rosters, distribution lists, confidentiality agreements, committee tenures and absentee trackingAssists with planning in-person meetings and summits including, but not limited to, setting up event space, coordinating with hotel for meeting requirements, coordinating F&B with hotels or off-site spaces, arranging travel for Owners, IHG, IHG OA staff or guest speakers, coordinating Allied Member involvement and overall budget.**Membership -**Leads Membership efforts in the MLAC countries to include the following specific tasks- Maintain the membership databases for OA members and Allied Member Program- Processing new member package mailing and membership information mailings- Working with the Membership team in Atlanta to increase membership through marketing and promotional campaigns- Assisting with member calls and questions/inquiries- Processes membership payments and maintains billing for OA memberships and Allied Member Program in the region- Building and maintaining a region-specific Allied Member Program (vendors/suppliers) to generate additional revenue in the region, in collaboration with the Membership Department- Works with Sr. Director, Engagement and Operations to process Global and Regional committee’s internal database and committee placements**Communication and Standards -**Coordinates with the Atlanta Communications team for region-specific communications and coordination of global communications, including the following:- Regular e-newsletter- Regional updates and content for OWNER magazine- Assisting in communication between Global Committees and Regional Committee and all owners in the region- Coordination of translation as needed to support the region**What we need from you** Education -**A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience is preferred.**Experience -**A minimum of two-three years of work-related experience is required, with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines and processes related to the position, including meeting/event management, sales, hospitality industry exposure, and administrative activities. More experience is preferred.**Preferred Experience -**Knowledge of IHG hotels is preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish with the ability to read, write and speak languages.**Skills and Knowledge -**Ability to work independently and meet deadlinesComputer literacy and ability to leverage IHGOA systems and processesExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including listening and confidently making effective presentations in areas of expertise and accountabilityStrong collaboration skills; ability to drive internal/external alignment across multiple stakeholdersVendor management, budgeting, and negotiation skillsWell-developed planning and organizational skills**Physical -**Work is typicall
