**Country**:Mexico**Location**:LOC5017: Carrier - Finance Shared, Galeana 469 Ote, Santa Catarina, 66350 Mexico**OVERVIEW**The Mexico Cost Accounting Controller will report directly to the Global Controller Operations and Manufacturing based in Monterrey, Mexico. Deliver Controllership objectives while supporting the Mission & Vision of Carrier Corporation Finance. This position will stand up and lead the Controllership Cost Accounting Center of Excellence focused on Carrier HVAC Mexico factories.**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:- Setup Controllership Cost Accounting Center of Excellence, including the identification and transition of relevant cost/plant accounting team members into this COE team.- Manage and oversee month/quarter/year-end financial statement closing process for HVAC Mexico factories including journal entries preparation and reviews, deliverables (incl. balance sheet flux, representation letters, and other ad hoc analysis as required)- Review of month end account reconciliations- Confirms procedures and controls are in alignment with US GAAP reporting requirements and Corporate Policies- Accountability for the execution of annual SOX program, including close coordination with Internal Controls COE team, as well as oversight and coordination over both internal and external auditors- Partnering with Operational Finance as key business partner to execute the role.- Actively participate in special projects as requested**TYPICAL EDUCATION**:- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, 6-10+ years accounting experience- Master’s degree in Accounting, 4-7+ years accounting experience**QUALIFICATIONS**:- CPA required- Self-driven with prior supervision experience- Experience with SAP and HFM preferred- Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)- Exceptional customer service skills including follow up and follow through**Carrier is An Equal **Opportunity/Affirmative** Action Employer.
