We believe in empowering our employees to grow professionally and contribute meaningfully to the company's success.**Your Responsibilities**:- ** Operational Accounting**:- Oversee daily accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset reconciliations, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.- Review journal entries for accuracy and completeness, including adjustments and accruals.- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.- Prepare financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.- ** Staff Support and Substitution**:- Provide guidance and support to accounting staff on various tasks.- Step in to perform accounting duties across different functions as needed.- Assist in training and developing junior team members.- ** Compliance and Reporting**:- Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies and legal regulations.- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.- Generate reports, as needed, to address specific business questions or strategic initiatives.- ** Process Improvement**:- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency.- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations.- ** Cross-Functional Collaboration**:- Work closely with other departments to resolve financial issues and support business operations.- Collaborate with the finance team leadership on budgeting and forecasting activities.**More About You**:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.- Strong understanding of US GAAP and accounting principles.- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel, including the use of Pivot tables.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.**Bonus points**:- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting- Familiarity with accounting software, particularly QuickBooks.- Background in a fast-paced industry like e-commerce or digital marketing is a plus.
