**Full Stack Web Developer**Designerds is a full-service creative agency with a unique approach to helping in-house creative teams source design and marketing services. We provide ongoing support for some of the top global brands, including X (formerly Twitter), Amazon and Walmart — with staff working 100% remote across the world.**Job responsibilities**. This role includes, but is not limited to, the following fundamentals:- Work with development partners to address key capabilities supporting engineering (e.g. data science, DevOps, security, QA, support, site reliability, etc.)- Design and develop scalable and robust software solutions for the creative operations team- Collaborate to understand and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices and guidelines for the team- Continuously improve the performance and scalability of our software platform- Work closely with product managers and designers to build and iterate on user-facing features- Present solutions and architecture to technical and non-technical stakeholders**Requirements**:- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as Python, Ruby, or Java Strong understanding of web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React Experience with developing and deploying cloud-based solutions using platforms such as AWS or GCP- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Git- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills- Work on one or more substantial projects with Next.js, React JS and friends.- Experience with a similar offering of projects to identify what's missing or unworkable in a wireframe or design, and have the basic design and UI/UX chops to improvise when necessary.- Have a deep understanding of modern web architecture and server-side rendering.- Understand responsiveness, breakpoints vs. fluidity, and the myriad issues that emerge in making designs work across devices.- Can manage complexity in a large frontend codebase and have strong experience with rich client-side apps.- Keen on keeping things tidy and are familiar with the options available for doing so — Gulp/Grunt, SASS, ES6, etc.- Can take a design and make it responsive and fluid and generally bring it to life.- Are well-versed in the classic frontend skills, know your meta tags and SEO basics, and can deal with browser/device compatibility issues should the need arise.- Enjoy working on large app architecture where performance, responsive design, and API integration are fundamental concepts that inform your code and architecture decisions.**Preferred Qualifications**:- Experience with the development of SaaS-relevant tools and scaling software solutions- Experience with data modeling and working with large datasets- Familiarity with design patterns and software architecture principles- Experience with DevOps and continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) pipelines- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including experience training users in group and individual settings- Superlative customer service skills, particularly concerning time-sensitive or high-pressure situations- Excellent personal organization skills and project management experience, including the ability to multitask, prioritize simultaneous projects, and adjust to fluid demands- Ability to succeed in a remote work environment, including taking initiative and seeing projects through to completion- Availability for off-hour shifts and/or on-call support as needed**About Designerds**Founded in 2014 in San Francisco, CA, our team is now 100% remote and doing so with great success.
