Finance and Accounting Learning and Development Manager

These new locations are designed to enhance our customer experience by being even closer to them, facilitating multi-lingual and scalable talent availability, enable standardization of processes all while supporting our customers’ growing needs.

As a F&A L&D Manager for GSC Mexico you’ll play a vital role in our success by providing team management, training, coaching, presentation, and impactful communication skills. You will have the opportunity to own and manage learning solutions and drive best practices / techniques that result in dramatic improvements in efficiency and effectiveness of PTP, OTC & ATR domain in Finance and Accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • New hire global training for all migrations, back fills & movements within the Ocean and Logistics & Services segments (P2P, OTC & ATR vertical)
  • Preparation of training content, Job aids and Quick reference guides and training delivery
  • TNI (Training Need Identification)- Identify comprehensive training needs for BAU population based on tenure and levels (up to Manager level)
  • Identify, create, and roll out process for disseminating process updates to end users on a periodic basis (stakeholder feedback & process inefficiencies identified)
  • Ensure updates are incorporated in training content accordingly
  • Ensure training coverage for identified population in PTP, OTC & ATR domain in the Ocean and Logistics & Services segments.
  • Ensure version changes are maintained for training materials of all processes
  • Capture the training effectiveness with creating pre and post assessments (wherever applicable) and report out the knowledge needle movement to leadership team.
  • Creating and publishing training calendars and sending the session invites.
  • Maintaining training data and publishing timely reports post training session highlighting coverage, assessment score, feedback, etc.

We are looking for:

  • Finance and Accounting process knowledge, especially in P2P, OTC and ATR
  • Strong & proven experience in training, learning and development function
  • Graduate
  • Language proficiency primarily in Spanish & English is a must for this role. Additional proficiency in Portuguese is preferred
  • Master’s Degree in Finance is recommended but not required
  • An excellent communicator, who thrives at sharing information and knowledge among varied audiences
  • A self-driven person who takes ownership and responsibility in a challenging environment
  • Someone who enjoys initiating and implementing changes, working in a structured and well-organized manner
  • Able to handle multiple things and adapt to change and able to deliver under pressure
  • Ability to document new processes
  • A team player who effectively coordinates with the rest of the team and shows responsibility, flexibility and respect towards the other members
  • A good colleague who takes part in creating a positive working environment
  • Good verbal and writing skills
  • Understand end to end Finance and Accounting knowledge
  • Desirable technical knowledge in SAP ECC
  • Knowledge of ERP systems like Cargowise, Dynamics, Kewill will be preferred
  • Technical knowledge in SAP S/4HANA preferable
  • Good understanding of the Shipping Industry
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
