We are looking for a Open Systems OS Platform Engineer to join our team and develop software systems and automated solutions for operational aspects in an organization. Open Systems OS Platform Engineer responsibilities include monitoring computer systems and building alerts for various operational issues that computer systems can experience. Ultimately, you will work with our IT team to ensure our organization can continue to deliver products and services in our computer system environment.We are looking for a Systems Engineer to help build out, maintain, and troubleshoot our rapidly expanding infrastructure. You will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security. Qualified systems engineers will have a background in IT, computer systems engineering, or systems engineering and analysis.**Responsibilities**:- Administer production jobs- Understand debugging info- "Drain" traffic away from a cluster- Roll back a bad software push- Block or rate-limiting unwanted traffic- Bring up additional serving capacity- Use the monitoring systems (for alerting and dashboards)- Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure- Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies- Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks- Participate in the design of information and operational support systems- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution**Requirements**:- Collaborate and communicate asynchronously- Document all the things so you don't need to learn the same thing twice- Have an enthusiastic, go-for-it attitude- Experience with Windows Server- Experience with virtualization and containerization (VMware)- Experience with monitoring systems- Experience with automation software (e.g., Puppet, cfengine, Chef)- Solid scripting skills (PowerShell)- Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)**Benefits**- Private Health Insurance (Seguro de Gastos Médicos)- Pension Plan (Afore)- Paid Time Off- Work From Home- Training & Development- Christmas Bonus (Aguinaldo)- Home Office
