Overview Sr PLC Engineer role at LaPieza. Location: On-site at client facilities (location varies by project). Main base: United States (US). Work mode: On-site, with frequent travel to industrial plants (USA). Remote in Mexico. Responsibilities Design, program, and test Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) according to system functionality requirements. Implement safety programming and communication with upper-level SCADA systems. Configure and integrate industrial devices such as frequency drives, scanners, barcode readers, and weighing systems. Develop electrical layouts and diagrams using AutoCAD. Download, install, and validate programs on PLCs and HMIs. Perform pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup activities on-site. Verify field signals to control panels and ensure proper operation of emergency zones and E-STOP buttons. Configure industrial communication networks and gateways. Parameterize drives, sensors, and weighing systems. Supervise the correct integration and product flow in areas controlled by individual PLCs and fully integrated systems. Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic Engineering, or related fields. 4 to 5 years of experience in PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, or similar) and systems integration in industrial automation. On-site commissioning of automation projects. Solid knowledge of SCADA, AutoCAD, variable frequency drives, industrial sensors, and communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, etc.). System troubleshooting and automated systems testing. Fluent English (C1/C2 level) — mandatory requirement. Valid U.S. visa — mandatory requirement for travel and project assignments in the United States.
