We're a remote company based in Mexico, and our team of 100+ brings together strategists, architects, designers, and developers to craft innovative digital experiences.
About the Opportunity
This is a 9-12 month fixed-term contract role. As a React Native Mobile Developer, you'll play a central role in developing, optimizing, and extending our mobile commerce accelerator platform, and implementing it across different enterprise clients. You'll work alongside other members of the product function on the design and development of software solution accelerators that are used across our organization as the platform for the services projects we deliver to our customers. In this role, you'll contribute to a project focused on performance, quality, and a cutting-edge tech stack for modern mobile commerce solutions.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with team members, designers, and product owners to solve technical challenges and ensure timely project delivery.
- Develop modular, reusable React Native components that streamline integration and are adaptable for various mobile projects across enterprise retail clients.
- Build connectors and interface modules to simplify integration with APIs, backend services, and third-party platforms, promoting ease of use for other developers.
- Establish and uphold best practices and coding standards for mobile development to deliver consistent, high-quality results.
- Implement tools and features to enhance app performance, reduce load times, and support scalability, ensuring seamless integration in new and existing applications.
- Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and optimization to maintain code quality and reliability.
- Design customizable templates, themes, and style guides to enable rapid development of visually consistent and appealing mobile interfaces.
- Support cross-platform development to ensure consistency and functionality between iOS and Android applications, reducing the need for platform-specific adjustments.
- Develop clear documentation, tutorials, and guidelines to facilitate effective knowledge transfer within the organization.
Skills and Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in mobile development, including at least 2 years with React Native.
- Preferred experience in developing e-commerce or consumer-focused mobile applications.
- Strong proficiency in React Native, JavaScript, TypeScript, best practices, and performance optimization techniques.
- Experience with additional developer tools and UI libraries, preferably Expo and React Native Paper.
- Proficiency in state management tools like React Query or Redux, and handling data with REST APIs and GraphQL.
- Experience with mobile testing frameworks such as Jest, Detox, and Appium for unit and end-to-end testing.
- Familiarity with native iOS and Android development environments (Xcode, Android Studio).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in both Spanish and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
