Together, we are making a difference in the lives of patients around the world.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED1. Manages and process state sales tax returns.2. Review sales tax accounts for accuracy in the general ledger.3. Ensure that proper documentation exists for non-taxable customers.4. Assist in closing financial records.5. Assist in special financial analysis projects.6. Manages daily cash process.7. Write accounting policies and procedures.8. Performs a variety of other accounting tasks, as required.ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS- Lifting - Not to exceed 50 lbs. - local practice may apply.- Writing- Sitting- Standing- Bending- Visual acuity- Color perception- Depth perception- Reading- Field of vision/peripheralSUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.- A minimum of four years of responsible accounting experience.- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail in performing accounting tasks.- Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills.- Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.- Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs.COMPETENCIES- Accounting process/procedures/reports- State tax regulations- Computer skillsCOMMENTSInfectious Control Risk Category III:The risk category explains whether or not employees are likely to come into contact with blood or body fluids while performing their jobs.
