Operations Manager, Regional Transportation - Remote; Mexico

Remote location: Mexico.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 4 years of experience in supply chain management with emphasis on functional roles in procurement, planning, fulfillment or operations.
  • 3 years of vendor management experience in support, operations or customer experience organization.
  • 3 years of industry experience in reducing transportation, fulfillment and inventory costs through the application of models.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Logistics.
  • Experience managing third-party transportation providers.
  • Experience with International trade via inland ports.
About the Job

As Operations Manager, Transportation you will own and manage day-to-day transportation operations within the Americas. You will be involved in execution and KPI management along with projects to reduce cycle times and improve quality for material flows into the data center network. You will work across logistics partners, commodity management, and planning teams. You will influence various partners while prioritizing efforts across multiple operations. You will have considerable transportation operations experience, strong project management experience, and a passion for analytics. You will be passionate about delivery capabilities to Google Data Centers. You will work within tight deadlines and manage multiple initiatives and tasks at once.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting for a portfolio of partners.
  • Work across multiple teams to align delivery dates with need by dates at origins and destinations.
  • Support cross-functional transportation initiatives.
  • Track execution tasks, understand permit processes and transit times to deliver efficiency.
  • Establish and continually improve the consistency, predictability, and efficiency of each carrier.
