The vision is to deliver the best contextually relevant product, offer or content to our guests, at scale across digital channels (such as web, mobile site, e‑mail, app, paid media, social media, etc.) and offline channels (such as direct mail, point of sale, contact centers etc.) At the heart of this vision is a personalization platform (or Hyatt’s Personalization Engine – HPE); a decision-engine that leverages advanced AI/ML to fuel personalized content delivery across all touch points. Core components of the HPE include: Centralized system to manage the offer content; Enterprise business rules engine AI/ML powered recommendations engine – with centralized modeling and scoring, utilizing full breadth of consumer data Offer management system Core orchestration layer – that tie everything together built fully on cloud native serverless infrastructure. This role will assist in solutioning, design, architecture, development, delivery, and operations of the centralized system to manage offer content partnering with the team of talented full‑stack software engineers. It will partner closely with peer leadership in IT and Digital to ensure alignment on architecture/integration strategies, and with leadership in marketing to align on integration priorities to activate personalized guest experiences across Hyatt’s digital ecosystem. Position Responsibilities / Essential Functions: Provide hands‑on technical leadership throughout the development life cycle and focus on delivery of quality solutions. Mentor peer engineering team members on technical decision making, code reviews and enforcing engineering practices and standards. Lead technical discussions and build consensus among engineers. Work with cloud engineering teams to design and develop cloud native services. Manage strong partnerships with technologies suppliers; understand and advise on their roadmaps and product evolution. Maintain application DevOps processes and deployment pipelines to implement and support application and feature releases. Assist in system migration to the cloud supporting refactoring legacy system to modernize the application or integration services to leverage cloud native services and solutions. Experience: 5+ years experience architecting and developing full stack solutions and utilizing software build and deployment tools (Jenkins, Git, GitLab, CI/CD). Strong understanding of cloud serverless solutions (AWSS3, CloudFront, API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, EventBridge). Experience working with cloud database services (RDS, DynamoDB, DocumentDB). Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS/ECS/Fargate). Experience with cloud build and deployment tools (Serverless, AWS SAM, GitLab). Experience working with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and cloud deployment languages (Serverless, CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform). Base understanding of cloud services and infrastructure (VPC, EC2, S3, EBS, EFS, IAM, CW). Agile development and deployment experience (JIRA, CI/CD). Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, management information systems, or equivalent education.
