We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon.As a Manager Legal & Compliance supporting Alcon's Legal & Compliance function, you will be trusted to provide legal and strategic guidance across a wide array of legal matters and compliance activities impacting our business in Mexico.IN THIS ROLE, A TYPICAL DAY WILL INCLUDE:- Providing strategic legal advice and ensuring legal sufficiency of business matters in Mexico, including contracts, litigation, labor, and compliance.- Drafting and negotiating a wide range of agreements (e.g., services, consultancy, purchasing, employment, distribution, consignment, and equipment financing).- Representing Alcon Legal to external stakeholders including government entities, unions, and industry associations.- Supporting spin-offs, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), and managing related legal risk and documentation.- Monitoring legal developments and educating the business on risks, trends, and regulatory changes.- Managing external counsel and ensuring adherence to the Alcon Outside Counsel Policy.- Leading internal legal housekeeping and compliance documentation (e.g., minutes, policies, board documentation).- Collaborating with the Head of Legal & Compliance Mexico on compliance programs, investigations, training, and policy enforcement.- Reviewing and approving public tender documentation and promotional materials.- Monitoring the contract management system and contributing to internal/external audit processes.- Leading payment processes for Legal and Compliance vendors.WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:Minimum Requirements- Law degree and licensed to practice in Mexico.- 4+ years of experience as an in-house lawyer.- Advanced English language skills (written and verbal).- Demonstrated experience in compliance-related matters.Additional Qualifications- Knowledge of regulatory matters (COFEPRIS) and competition law (COFECE).- If not from pharma, then from another regulated and/or multinational company.- Experience managing various stakeholders.- Background in consumer law.- Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal abilities.- Ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure.- Familiarity with tools such as Icertis/Upside contract management systems.HOW YOU CAN THRIVE AT ALCON:- Competitive salary and benefits package.- Opportunities for professional growth and development.- Be part of a global company dedicated to innovation and growth in eye care.Alcon is an Equal Opportunity Employer and takes pride in maintaining a diverse environment.
