Through a respectful, inclusive and collaborative culture, a career at Flex offers the opportunity to make a difference, invest in your career growth and join our purpose - to make great products that create value and improve people’s lives.Job SummaryPrinciple Accountabilities:- Troubleshoots and repairs complex mechanical and electrical assemblies used in equipment at the component level.- Operates electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes and conducts special tests as required.- Provides technical assistance and guidance to other technical personnel.- Collaborates with engineering on functionality issues and procedure updates.- Presents training, when necessary, to the new build and service assembler teams.- Contributes to the development of work instructions, batch records, equipment logs, material specifications and other device history documents.- Helps monitor productivity of our equipment by tracking yields and equipment cycle rates.- Assists with the installation, debug and validation of process equipment.- Follows all safety guidelines and reports unsafe conditions to supervisor.- Develops and maintains Debug Guide to troubleshoot PCBA.- Provides training and PCBA debugging guidance to other debug technicians.Knowledge / Skills / AbilitiesDemonstrates advanced technical skills which may be used to conduct on-the-job training and/or lead/guide other employees. Highly skilled with ability to move between projects. Demonstrates broad knowledge of functional techniques and has input to process improvement. Applies new technologies and technological changes.Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and customers.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.Scope / ImpactContributes to and improves techniques/ concepts. Assists in developing goals/targets of line or department.Decision Making / DiscretionCan perform analyses/work using some independent judgment. Decisions affect tasks and products.Supervision / LeadershipRequires little to no instruction. Requires little to no supervision.Work Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, work that requires repetitive motion, toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock.Physical Demands: _Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions._While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to handle small components, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
