**THE COMPANY**Our client is a European multinational company which **develops, manufactures, and supplies automotive fluid storage, carrying and delivery systems**.** The company serves the automotive aftermarket. For the last 100 years, global automotive manufacturers have turned to our client to develop and produce award-winning, industry-leading automotive fluid systems. Our client has over 100 manufacturing locations in 29 countries.**THE POSITION****Position Summary**:The Plant Controller is responsible for supervising, planning & directing the finance department. Responsible for ensuring the safeguard for all assets of the plant in Tultitlan, Estado de Mexico (Mexico City).**Responsibilities and Essential Functions**:1. Monitors and controls Inventory.2. Controls overhead spending.3. Monitors capital plan.4. Manufacturing cost variance analysis.5. Month-end closing.6. Annual budgeting and monitoring.7. Monthly forecasting.8. Development of measurable goals for department staff.9. Direction of finance staff to achieve plant and corporate goals.10. Management of inventories and maintenance and repair orders (MRO) office supplies.11. Problem solving & resolution for departmental issues.12. Provide various weekly & daily reports as required.13. Accomplishment of plant & company goals.14. Implementation of the QOS process.15. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.16. Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.**THE CANDIDATE**- Three to five years progressive experience in finance with previous experience as a Plant Controller or an Accounting/Finance supervisory role ready to grow into a Plant Controller role.- Must have some operational accounting experience in manufacturing and be very hands-on (i.e. balance sheet reconciliations, financial reporting, special reporting - EXCEL, financial analysis, etc.).- Strong Internal Control experience required. SOX is desirable.- 2. IFRS and/or U.S. GAAP Accounting experience.- Experience with A/P, A/R, general accounting and tax accounting in Mexico, Financial Reporting, cost accounting and inventory control.- Must be able to analyze and interpret key financial data to drive operational decisions.- A public accounting background with a BIG 3 is desirable.- Must be pro-active in avoidance of unnecessary problems.- Must be able to effectively solve problems using root cause analysis.- Knowledge of BPCS Future 3 (AS-400) is a plus.- Self-directed with a high degree of self- motivation. Resilient and self-motivated.- Proficient computer skills and abilities with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Strong EXCEL including pivot tables is required.- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.- Fluent in English and Spanish**Education and Experience Requirements**:Completion of Bachelor’s in Accounting. Master’s degree in accounting or finance or business Is desirable, especially a Masters in Accounting. CPA (Certified Public Accountant is highly preferred.**Licensing or Special Certification Requirements**:Valid passport and driver’s license.
