**Role purpose****Main activities**- Review and challenge the implementation of key control expectations and applicability, the challenge where expected controls have not been associated, the nature, frequency and execution of control monitoring, control effectiveness ratings.- Assess, review and challenge issues, their actions, raised through CCM (Continuous Control Monitoring), MSII (Management Self-identified Issue), 2LOD, 3LOD or derived from internal and external events, including identification of root causes, performing a read-across, tracking the action ownership and timeline, and recording in Helios.- Identify and pro-actively manage top and emerging risks impacting retail credit risk originated by changing in services/products, processes and systems.- Establish and manage relationships with key 1LOD and 2LOD stakeholders at Global and Country level, including Risk Stewards to deliver fit for purpose governance framework.- Manage governance for all key forums including IWPB RMM and ensure high quality deliverables for these forums.- Review and challenge 1LOD risk reporting where there are discrepancies or disagreements with Risk Steward inputted reporting and escalate where required.- Co-ordinate and manage the Risk Appetite Statement process for IWPB, and support in setting risk appetite thresholds, cascading risk appetite into policies and providing advice and guidance to 1LOD.- Provide quality risk, control analysis, and develop guidance for stakeholders on the Risk Management Framework, including Risk and Control Assessments, Continuous Monitoring Plans, Internal Events and Losses, as well as review, challenge and management of issues.**Requirements**:- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in banking Governance, and/or Risk and Control management. Deeper understanding of non-financial risk management, preferably gained through experience in front line, risk roles, consultancy, or audit.- Knowledge of enterprise risk management software and tools, as well as risk taxonomies.- Advanced Speaking and Writing English. Particularly, strong communication and presentation skills.- Analytics skills and ability to perceive, organize, and assimilate information, to allow appropriate management oversight or to assist in making decisions/ evaluate gaps and offer solutions/proposals. This should include ability to contextualize data into business activities and effectively communicate the conclusions.- Planning, organization, negotiation skills, and ability to influence people.- Ability to prioritize and work independently under pressure within a team environment.- Proven critical thinking skills with ability to consider alternative and lateral solutions for all challenges.
