Position Summary Develop and maintain control over standards for production operations, follow up with compliance of production processes, suggest changes in current process to achieve higher efficiency levels and determine requirements through demand. Essential Responsibilities Solve process and quality opportunities proactively to avoid impacts in the value stream and general production activities. Generate and manage the bill of materials (BOM's). Develop work routers/travelers. Develop standardized work in manufacturing. Generate action plans, guides and work methods for the assigned area and keep them updated (e.g. work instructions, visual aids, documents associated with engineering process). Review and update the database where production standards are located, ensuring correct implementation. Lead engineering changes in the process. Implement and manage layout changes in the manufacturing process. Lead, actively participate and manage product transfers as well as product/process implementation. Design and implement workstations/manufacturing cells. Design and implement core tools (Poka Yoke) to support and improve processes. Identify and propose improvements in processes with waste elimination (MUDA) in mind. Actively participate in corrective actions for errors/discrepancies found in the process. Develop, participate and maintain cost‑reduction projects using the Lean Manufacturing system. Apply 6S in the work area and actively participate with assigned areas. Prepare and present key metrics information weekly and monthly. Establish machine capacity and tooling necessary for product/line/unit. Identify equipment needs to maximize labor capacity and units to be produced. Identify personnel needs based on manufacturing requirements and equipment/machine capacity. Certify multi‑process/multi‑machine operators aligned with the training and manufacturing department. Promote teamwork within the areas under responsibility. Actively participate in technical opportunities with materials and suppliers during pre‑production and production phases. Serve as engineering department representative before the MRB (Material Review Board) for analysis, review and disposal of discrepant materials. Lead for deviation requisitions for material design and/or process for design engineering. Review production programs to identify possible delays in new orders/products. Follow up on company policies, procedures, rules and requirements. Position Requirements EDUCATION: Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering major. EXPERIENCE: 4–6 years in manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, operations or similar areas. ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE: Ergonomics, root cause analysis, R&R studies, ANOVAs, chemical handling, industrial safety, Kaizen, statistics, just‑in‑time, 6S, 3P, 8 wastes in manufacturing, SMED, Poka Yoke, Kanban, Takt Time, Value Stream Mapping, QS, Six Sigma Process, Total Preventive Maintenance, Calibration. TECHNICAL SKILLS: Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Pro-E, MSP, database, general inventory control knowledge. LANGUAGES: 80% English (verbal, written). #J-18808-Ljbffr
