Your knowledge of mechanical design principles and methodologies will ensure that the products developed under your leadership meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. Your proficiency in CAD software and other design tools will enable you to effectively oversee the design process and ensure the delivery of innovative and high-performance mechanical solutions and with your experience in manufacturing process you will be able to transfer the design requirements to a finish good.**YOU ARE****An experienced Mechanical Design Engineer**- You will provide support on NPI projects in the manufacture of the prototypes and design validation process. You will conduct engineering studies related to Fall Protection Products, with a focus on cost reduction opportunities and product sales continuity.**An action-oriented individual -**You will update drawings and specifications using SolidWorks, Illustrator, and Office software, conduct release engineering changes, provide support for Root Cause Analysis, assist with sustaining related activities and update and maintain administrative systems.**REQUIRED SKILLS FOR SUCCESS**- Experience in the manufacturing process of mechanical components.- Experience in FEA. (Static, Dynamic and structural analysis)- Knowledge in personal protective equipment and its design and manufacturing processes. - Knowledge of regulatory standards applicable to PPE Fall Protection (ANSI, CSA, EN, OSHA) desirable. - Experience in laboratory procedures and basic testing for PPE Fall protection desirable.- Experience in statistical analysis, including process capability studies using Minitab- Strong team working ability.- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or related field)- 3+ years of relevant skills.- Advanced English language skills- Certification in SolidWorks or demonstrable experience in 3D and 2D modifications**Protective Industrial Products (PIP) is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
